We had such a wonderful experience at India Restaurant in Providence, RI! The service was excellent and the atmosphere felt so warm and welcoming. The artwork on display adds such a beautiful touch to the dining experience. Our server Tita went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and comfortable. Every dish we tried was amazing — the paneer tikka kabobs were absolutely delicious, and the baked samosas were a healthier take that I actually prefer over the fried version. The chicken biryani was packed with rich, flavorful spices, and the kesar pista kulfi for dessert was the perfect sweet finish. Highly recommend this place for comforting, flavorful Indian food and outstanding hospitality!

Let me start by saying the ambience was really top-notch — elegant, luxurious, and with a very positive vibe the moment you step in. The staff and waiters were extremely courteous and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Coming to the food, it was good overall, but I do feel there’s some scope for improvement. The curries had nice flavour, but the lamb and goat dishes turned out a bit stiff and chewy. The khichdi rice could have been cooked a little softer for that perfect comfort feel. The aloo paratha was tasty, though I had expected it to be like the typical Punjabi-style one — maybe that was just me keeping the bar too high! The chicken tikka masala was well-prepared and enjoyable. My friends tried the paneer and naan, and they found them good as well.

First time here and won’t be our last. Our server was Great. Very helpful and attentive. The food was outstanding. We started with a 1/2 basket of Naan assorted and was it delicious and Huge! The savory flavor of the onion naan was divine. The Vindaloo was spicy but not just heat full of flavor! The Aloo Tikki - potato pancake was Delicious!!! On to Dinner - our daughter ordered the Karahi Ghost - goat curry was amazing, full of flavor and yummy! The wife got the Vindaloo with chicken, very flavorful and tasty and a little spicy. I ordered the seafood coconut and it was Great, the shrimp were Huge and the swordfish was tender and the mussels were savory. My wife and daughter actually got henna in the restaurant as there was a lady doing it for free. They tipped her nicely. Thank you for a great dining experience and my first at an Indian restaurant! We shall be back!
