Only leaving one star because less isn't an option. As a student, this school system is rigged. They tell us to do our missing work during our free time. Free time which we don't have. The teachers are nice, but they fully agree that our school system sucks.
As a teacher, nearly every time I have contacted the Indiana DOE they have been helpful and friendly. Recently, I contacted them to add a particular certification to my license, and Leah Pitz walked me through it step by step. She was amazing! Thank you, Leah!
This is the WORSE school system EVER. We are having problems with inappropriate actions from the elementary school principal. He feels he can say what he wants to the children and do what he wants. Tried speaking with superintendent but he is ALWAYS in ameeting. Not to mention we tried to speak with him but he is friends with the principal so no disciplinary actions were taken. Tried to call these people and Cathy Danyluck said theres nothing we can do because basically the superintendent has to answer to no one. Now we have a 12 year old daughter afraid to go to school because she dont know what the principal might say or do to her. All of this because she missed a track practice. Because her parents couldnt get off of work to transport her. They feel our 12 year should find her own transportation or walk across town instead of providing safe transportation for the students. All she wanted to do was run track and the behavior of these adults are crushing her young ambition. When we ask for help or understanding we are ridiculed and spoken down to. Being from another state I now have a clearer understanding why the indiana school board produces more drop outs then graduates. If anyone knows who we can call please let us know.
