I’m currently in the regular standing two-year MSW program. I feel compelled to share my experience. Unfortunately, there have been many changes in leadership and administration, and it feels like my class is being treated as the “guinea pigs.” While I’ve heard great things about this program in the past, it is certainly not what it once was. There has been a lack of structure, and frankly, the program needs more staff to support the students. Despite many of us voicing concerns to the dean, our feedback has largely fallen on deaf ears. The program would greatly benefit from better organization and clearer communication. That said, I want to acknowledge that all my professors have been fantastic and are truly the best part of my experience. They are passionate, knowledgeable, and supportive, and I can’t thank them enough for their dedication. If you are considering applying, I would recommend waiting until they get everything in order. It’s a challenging environment right now, and I wouldn’t want others to go through the same frustrations until the program improves.
