We took out home insurance with an estimated rebuilding cost of £1.5m on the basis that we would get a survey done to confirm the rebuild cost and any adjustment would be implemented. The survey showed the cost to be £1.75m and when I informed "Intellingent" insurance they promptly cancelled my policy without any notice as they said they could not cover this amount. Disgraceful behaviour!
We renewed an annual Buildings insurance policy knowing that the property was sold and likely to go within a few months. We paid monthly and when the sale completed, cancelled the policy, giving notice to this insurance company. They then added a £60 cancellation charge. This is absurd and can best be described as daylight robbery. I wouldn't ever use this company again or recommend them to others.
Horrible company. They charge you for cancelling your insurance (£60) and their customer service is not very friendly. There have been others complaining about them. Please avoid this company at all costs! It is not worth it!
