When my tax preparer passed away in January of 2024 Interstate Business Management agreed to do his clients tax returns on the same fee scale. Possibly their intentions were good, but their follow through is full of excuses. The first appointment on 4/6 was full of red flags and I should have taken my papers and gone somewhere, anywhere else. Today is 5/6 and I still do not have my tax return ready to e-file. All I have received is empty promises. When I said I was coming to pick up my papers on 4/26 that got their attention. Lacey, in the Tulsa office, worked on the return via phone from Mansfield office. When I arrived to pick up papers I could hear Sonya and Lacey working on our return. Eventually, I was able to go into a conference room and look over the return. I paid the fee but asked them to hold the return for ONE day so I could go over all of the figures. I called back the next day with a few questions. To date I have not spoken to anyone to get the questions answered, the return completed and e-filed. I emailed Aaron the CEO 5/3. There has been no reply as of 5/6. I called the Tulsa office at 12:20 and left my phone number for Lacey to call me when she returns from lunch. Hopefully Lacey will call or someone will see this review and respond. Update 5/6/2024 2:45 pm - just talked with Lacy, received answers to my 4 questions, tax return was e-filed with receipt that IRS received the electronically filed 2023 return. Thanks Lacy for finishing our return.

I couldn’t believe the service we received while trying to get our business taxes done. John Davidson came into our place of business many times to get out business. We eventually decided that we wanted to go through with their services and provided a check and all our business documents to them. We were confident that our taxes was handled until we never received a response from the business. We called on several occasions trying to get ahold of someone and no one returned our calls and never reached out to our business. Almost two months later, John shows up at our business and says “Lacy Jackson don’t want to do your taxes” Wow! He returned the check and our documents and just walked away. What level of professionalism is this? I would never do business with the company. They have no explanation except the owner didn’t want to do our taxes. Don’t go here. They are not professional at all.
