Our family recently hired Iris Construction for a major addition onto the back of our existing home. This included a new primary suite, two secondary bedrooms, home office, home gym, screened-in porch, and renovation of an existing bathroom. In total, the two-story addition added around 1500 square feet to our home. As part of this process, we contacted 6 local contractors before finally selecting Iris. After meeting with Thomas multiple times to discuss the project, we found Iris’ approach best matched our style. Their price was competitive, their estimated timeline was aggressive yet realistic, and they worked seamlessly with our designer to come up with a great overall plan. Thanks to our excellent in-house and subcontractor team, along with many weeks of dry weather, we completed the project faster than anticipated, going from foundation to ‘dried in’ in a matter of weeks. Interior finishing work went just as fast, and the Iris team took great care to minimize our time spent away from home. For interior work like flooring, drywall, and paint, great care was taken to reduce debris and dust, and the space was handed back to us extremely clean – just like a new home. And whenever we had a minor (or sometimes major) change order, Thomas and Brian seamlessly integrated them into the plan. Communication with the Iris team was exceptional, with regularly scheduled progress meetings, and frequent updates via text and email when needed. When Thomas and Brian were not personally on-site, their team (Robert, Nelson, and Caesar in particular) were equally as professional, engaged, and helpful. We particularly appreciated both Thomas and Brian’s experience and recommendations as we went through this process, from big picture questions to finish selections to details like outlet and closet shelf placement. This was a once in a lifetime project – building a forever home for our expanding family. For such a large project (on the scale of a new home build), I am hard-pressed to find anything I didn’t like about working with Iris Construction, and do attribute that to the integrity, care and professionalism Thomas Pearson and Brian Rieschick brought to this process. Thomas and Brian with Iris Construction are great! We started our home renovation with another contractor who turned out to be very dishonest and abandoned us and our project right in the middle. We weren’t sure what to do with a partially completed addition and were stressed to say the least. We are extremely thankful that we found Thomas and Brian. They picked up the project midstream and did a better job completing it than we could have hoped for!
