Econo on leduc out in Brossard For such a MIGHTY gym I wasn't too impressed with their showers... the temp is great the pressure is great so no 4 star.. but I didn't like the fact that the shower has no shelf to put my stuff on. The shower head has 3 modes, RAIN, MASSAGE JET, MIST. the mist one is no good, similar to water hose spray mist. The tile work is nice, as a man who fixes bathrooms I can appreciate that. The shower itself is huge if you like or need SPACE. I'm an average dude and you could fit 4 of me in there comfortably, so that's cool. As I've been doing these reviews this is the biggest shower I have come across as of up to date. I would tell you you other fantastic things about this gym but as I have said before in previous reviews, that's not why I got in the game. I came here to help people that are in a similar situation as me ( no shower ) find the best econo shower so they can relax and not stress or whatever! Thanks econo for being here for the people of quebec you're a foundational part of the culture now and you're changing many lives, mine included. Stay lifting, and keep winning. -shower guy

Recently, I spoke respectfully about the cleanliness of the men’s washrooms. I pointed out that there were blood stains and that there was no more toilet paper. This is not the first time this has happened, as other members have also complained about the cleanliness. The manager responded to me aggressively, saying: “This is an Econo gym. We clean the washrooms three times between 8:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. If you’re not satisfied, I invite you to go elsewhere.” I do not believe that this manager’s comments reflect the values or standards of Econofitness. I fully understand that this is an Econo gym. However, there is a minimum standard of cleanliness that must be upheld to ensure the safety and comfort of members. This also means that between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.—a total of 12 hours—the washrooms are not cleaned, even though the gym attendance remains high after 8:00 p.m. I hope to see improvements in the future.

Awful customer service and poor customer relationship practices. I drove all the way to the Dix30 location to work out with a friend after receiving an email saying my membership was expiring. When I arrived, staff told me it had already expired earlier that same day and refused to let me in for even a quick workout — despite this being the first day of my membership expiring. I explained that I planned to renew at the Taschereau location because in case i wanted to one day switch to a regular pass, i’d have to have signed up at the location closer to mu house (i went to Dix30 just to workout with a friend) and that because of that i couldn’t renew my pass at that exact moment. They didn’t care. Instead of showing even basic courtesy toward someone who’s paid $40/month Platinum Pass for a full year, they gave me attitude and lines like: • “You want us to get fired?” • “It’s the rules.” • “You think Netflix lets you watch if you don’t pay?” (which is ironic, because Netflix does give a grace period.) Zero flexibility. Zero professionalism. Zero common sense. Just poor customer relationship practices and a complete lack of understanding that not everyone has time to drive back and forth between locations. Because of this, I’m done with Econo Fitness and switching back to Buzzfit, where the staff actually treats people decently. And yes — my friends and family are pissed too, because none of them can use my Platinum card anymore. They’ll probably leave their own reviews. This isn’t even the first time I’ve seen something like this. I once watched them turn away a father and his young kid because he misunderstood how the Platinum card works — a misunderstanding caused by the employee who originally sold it to him. They still kicked him and his child out 180 degrees at the door. No empathy, no flexibility, no effort to fix a mistake they caused. Do they not realize our time and gas cost something? We’re literally already standing in the gym, and they still choose the strictest, most inconvenient option every time. Disrespectful, cheap, and completely unhelpful customer service. I expect an apology and a serious change to whatever rigid rule forces their employees to treat loyal customers like this.
