Ignored for 9 Months, Then Blamed. Not a Professional Experience I initially contacted NY Built in October 2024 based on their strong reviews, hoping to work with them on a small bar project. Despite providing every detail they requested and following up consistently, we never received a quote or clear direction, just months of silence, vague responses, and missed follow-ups from multiple team members, including Jonathan and Ashley. After we expressed frustration, the owner finally responded, not to apologize or offer accountability, but to blame us for not being “forthcoming” and for following up on a Saturday. In truth, we spent 9 months trying to move this forward with professionalism and patience. What NY Built failed to realize is that this “small” project was a test of communication and service for a larger renovation we were planning. That opportunity has now gone elsewhere. Future clients should know: NY Built will not be upfront about what projects they’ll take seriously, and if you push for answers, they may try to shift the blame to you.

Avoid NY Built Construction — Unresponsive and Unreliable We had high hopes for NY Built Construction based on their public reputation, but our experience has been deeply disappointing. We first reached out in September 2024 with a simple residential bar project and submitted everything requested: measurements, design plans, appliance specs, and even the building’s alteration agreement. Despite multiple follow-ups by both me and my wife over the span of 8+ months, we never received a formal quote — not even a rough estimate. We were incredibly patient. Emails and calls to Wasim and Jonathan were often met with silence or vague deflections. NY Built has strung us along with promises of coordination and responsiveness, but it has become clear that they are either too disorganized or uninterested in our project. When we escalated our concerns, we were told it was their “busy season.” But at that point, we had already been waiting through fall, winter, and spring — so, when exactly isn’t their busy season? If you're looking for a team that values your time, communicates professionally, and follows through — this is not the company. NY Built has wasted months of ours, and we’re left with nothing to show for it. Proceed elsewhere.
