I would recommend john to refit your bathroom. He arrives promptly every day. Works very hard. Does a lovely job. Cleans up before he leaves and is easy to get on with. You'll not be disappointed..

Excellent job. Very helpful when deciding what to do. John was a clean and professional worker, who certainly new his job We would recommend him to anyone and use him again for other work. Left everything clean and tidy.

I took John on twice, first time to do an ensuite bathroom and then a second time to come back and do the main bathroom based on the work he did on the ensuite. John did a fantastic job on both projects priced everything up in advance. His quality was excellent. He’s a very friendly chap and I would highly recommend him for any plumbing needs.

We chose John for a quote after reading all the great reviews. We wanted removal of the old fibre glass bath and sink in our tiny bathroom (no toilet as it's downstairs) . He has transformed the bathroom in just over a week arriving daily at 7.30am working flat out until 4pm. Discussed what we wanted and gave his advice which we took. First 2 days spent ripping out the old bath and sink also removing all the old tiles. Removed some older lead pipes and connecting up with new 15mm thinner copper pipes. John fitted new plastic ceiling tiles and LED lights, new sink on a unit and a walk- in shower. Floors /walls all re-tiled with our choice from a book. Only drawback is we have just a trickle of hot water coming from the hot tap on the new sink discovered only when the bathroom was completed. Whereas it was okay on the old sink tap. He explained that this is due to the old lead pipes being replaced by his new 15mm copper ones which are more narrow. And with it being a gravity system with a tank and hot water cylinder the change to thinner pipes had affected the pressure. We have perfect running hot water in the kitchen downstairs so hard to understand how we have ended up with virtually nothing coming out of the new tap except on the cold water side. When I phoned John up a few days later he said he could run new pipes from the tank hot water cylinder in a bedroom cupboard, but that would mean taking up lots of floorboards and the new floor tiles. And maybe he would want extra payments? Maybe this could have been done during the pipework and not finding out on completion of the job? So we will have to live with just one cold tap and a hot tap that just trickles (totally useless) . John does all the jobs himself so no waiting for other tradesmen to turn up. In all fairness John has worked hard shame about the hot water sink tap problem that cannot be rectified without more upheaval and probably more labour charges. John said at the start it may take 10 days to complete the bathroom but he was done in 6 days. Quoted us "no more than £7000" (no toilet as it's downstairs) . HOWEVER a few days after he started the job we asked for a towel radiator to replace the small normal old one which would have looked daft in a new bathroom. John had suggested we keep the small old radiator at the start. So he did install a small 40cms one (we expected a bigger one really on the side with nothing there). We were surprised when he added £500 to the bill (total £7500) which we thought was a bit high. B & Q are selling these 40 cms towel rads at £70. When asked about the extra £500 he said he had bought some extra plaster boards involving more work. Thought that would come under the 'no more than £7000 to be honest. Maybe £150 extra for supply and plumb in the small new towel rad ? Another mishap was John left one day with a slight leak from the valves where he had removed our old radiator and this went through the ceiling in the porch and downstairs toilet beneath. Only discovered when he arrived the next day. We had to allow the ceilings to dry and re-paint them. Still a bit dis-coloured. We used the garage for all the old rubble and old bath etc then we arranged our own skip as John doesn't remove any of the rubbish. Obviously that was extra cost to us. We are very pleased with the new bathroom but disappointed about the 'no hot water' tap problem and the added £500. Cost of all materials can't have come to much more than £2500 (no bath or toilet) so £5000 labour for 6 days work is a hell of a wage.
