I bought a used freezer from this store, along with some other items. The woman who sold it to me told me she couldn’t bring it out from the back, but assured me it was in good condition. We checked and tested everything else we bought — except the freezer. When we came back the next day to pick it up, we saw that it was dented on the side. Despite the fact that we had not yet taken the freezer from the store, they refused to refund us. They insisted it was sold “as-is,” even though I was misled and never had the chance to inspect the item beforehand. The seller lied to me — she said it was fine, and that I just couldn’t see it at the time. In reality, it felt like I was tricked. I feel like they stole from me. I don’t recommend shopping here. Be very careful and don’t trust their word — check everything yourself, even if they say it’s “fine.”

On the afternoon of Thursday June 20th I was in Toronto and stopped in at the Canadian outlet store on Markham Road spending $80 which included two fans at $25 each. On arriving to my destination I brought in the fans and plugged them in and noticed approximately 15 minutes later they're only one of them was actually working. I checked the plugs and all the switches and was unable to get the defective fan to start up again. I returned back to the store that evening at about 8:20 p.m. to discover that the store had closed at approximately 8:00 p.m. The following day I return to the store at about 4:00 p.m. advising the staff that I had had trouble with one of the fans not working properly. They plugged it in into my surprise it started up however they only ran it for about a minute. I was dismissed with the fan under my arm as it had not failed during the minute that they tested it. I had commitments over the weekend but on my return Sunday night I attempted to use the fan again and when I plugged it in it ran for less than 20 minutes before it failed again. When I was back in Scarborough on Tuesday about noon I returned to the store explaining to the female attendant that I was still having issues with the fan not working properly. She tested it and sure enough it was only a few minutes before it failed. An exchange was discussed however I was advised that there were no more of that model in stock at the store. She called a superior and advised me that they would call me around 4:00 p.m. when he got there with new stock to do the exchange. In an effort to avoid a fifth trip to the store I offered to buy a more expensive fan that would hopefully be a better quality and pay the difference. She advised that she did not have the codes for the till to be able to do that transaction and that I would have to wait till around 4:00 p.m. that afternoon when the boss arrived to take care of my problem. As the promised call was never received, I phoned the store at approximately 7:00 pm. And the gentleman I spoke to advised me that my defective brand new fan was outside their return window now as returns could only be done for 3 days from purchase. I made it very clear to him that I had been in touch with them within the first 24 hours after purchase making them aware that I was having problems with the item. He put me off advising that the boss would call me the next morning. Has once again the promised call was never returned I attempted to phone around noon on Thursday however did not get through until I borrowed a different phone. The gentleman I spoke to said they would call me back in 5 minutes. It has been over 3 hours now and they still have not returned to call. A week of getting burned over a $25 fan is not cool... I encourage you all to share this aggressively to save others from an equally bad experience from a company that has no concept of doing right by their customers

Absolutely terrible experience with this store. I bought a freezer from them, and it was damaged when they delivered it. It had dents and visible damage on the corners, and it didn’t work properly either. When I contacted them, their attitude was extremely rude and disrespectful. They completely refused to take responsibility, didn’t offer any solution, and refused to refund me. Honestly, this feels like a scam. They take your money and leave you with broken products. I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this store. Save your money and avoid the headache.
