Nightmare Recommended by a industry Brand Ambassador I met first with a Creative Director, Practice Manager and (in title only) a Master Colourist named Morgan The brief - hairline touch up to mask the grey yet remain true to the natural looking blonde Fast forward weeks and the horror begins. Morgan influenced my decision to move from 1/4 head to half head to "better blend" the honey blonde base especially when choosing to wear my hair up 2 hours later I emerged with orange/passionfruit hair unbleneded greys and significant damage requiring 2 hair cleanses to reduce the damage of the colour and over toning. Morgan demostrated exceptional skills in "Not Listening", the Practice Manager failed to provide the 1st visit discount and I left with severely damaged passionfruit coloured hair 4 hours later Saturday required another visit to the salon and a further two cleanses in an attempt to mitigate the damage caused by Morgan Sadly, the Creative Director and Practice Manager continued to comment that they couldn't see how I believed my hair was damaged....let's recap - 1/2 head - depth stripped, over coloured, reduced to a passionfruit shade - cleansed 4 times and in no condition to have any colour work done for the next month to offset the damage It's a salon fading like the skills of some of the team - floors and gowns crusted with hairs, sissors left out across benches (OHS Anyone?), ceilings and walls crusted in cobwebs If your'e a new client, booked with Morgan - for your own sake consider a reschedule. At my request a refund was given but its of little consolation given the lasting damage to my hair.

I booked in to get a haircut at Joey Scandizzo Salon. I was very excited. But, to say I was disappointed is an understatement. I asked for a one length/blunt cut and emphasised that I wanted it to be a straight blunt line at the back of my hair. I wasn’t too fussed how it looked when pushed at the front as long as it was even. I have some subtle face framing which I wanted to keep as it was. The stylist agreed to do what I had asked. When the haircut was completed and I saw the back of my hair, I burst into tears. The cut was in a kind-of U shape, and was not even at all. When I questioned it, I was told by the stylist that he wouldn’t cut a straight line at the back as that isn’t how he did things, despite me specifying what I wanted beforehand and him agreeing. My friend was with me, and stepped-in to reiterate how important it was for me to have it straight in the back but alas, it was too late. I walked out of the salon, after being charged $200 for a cut I was unhappy with, in tears. I went to another salon down the road to get them to check my hair and see if anything could be done. The lady there evened out my hair as best as she could, but I still have a U shape that I’m unhappy with. I feel as if my only two options now are to let my hair grow out until it’s long, or cut a bob. I am getting married soon and don’t want to have a bob at my wedding, so I have committed to growing out my hair and hopefully I’ll learn to love it again. The front desk man was very lovely and asked if I was okay at the end of the service, but I won’t be coming back.

I have been colouring my hair for twenty years and have been lucky enough to have my colour done by some of the best colourists in Paris, Rome, Amsterdam and Sydney. I can say without hesitation that Morgan, the Master Colourist at JS Salon in Melbourne, is the BEST colourist I have ever come across. From a beauty point of view there is nothing I take more seriously than the colour of my hair. I live in Sydney, but was referred to JS Salon by a hairdresser in Sydney because I was working in Melbourne and now I fly from Sydney to Melbourne solely to get my colour done with Morgan. Morgan is the most highly intelligent and talented colourist I have ever come across. Although I have been seeing her for 5 years she always asks me exactly what I want, rather than just presuming it will be the same thing I have had done for years. She always listens very carefully to what I want, but MOST importantly she ALWAYS puts the health of my hair first. As I have been colouring my hair for so many years she takes this into account and will tell me if she thinks what I am asking for will damage my hair. She really does assess everyone according to their individual needs.Going to see Morgan is honestly one of the highlights of my life as I always walk out of the salon feeling like the most beautiful woman in the world. Indeed, every one who didn't know me before I started going to Morgan thinks I am a natural blonde. I can say without hesitation that Morgan is the Botticelli of hair colour because you will walk out of the salon looking like Botticelli's Venus if you want to be blonde, Angelina Jolie if you want to be a brunette, Emma Stone if red is your heart's desire or Naomi Campbell if black is your colour of choice!
