Initially we were very excited as John (the owner) had come and given us a quote, made measurements and recommendations that we agreed to. When the day came, the three workers (who are his sons) were extremely unprofessional in their interactions with me, as well as incomplete and subpar work. They did not communicate when they hit barriers in completing the driveway, and took it upon themselves to do a foot less of the driveway than was originally quoted. When I attempted to rectify the issue and have them complete the portion that was originally on the quote, I was yelled at and told I was a liar and not grateful. I was happy to pay more if that was the case, but his son (who I was speaking to who did the work) was incredibly unprofessional over the phone so I asked to speak to John again (which he was resistant to). When I spoke with John, he agreed with me that his sons were too inexperienced to take over and complete the work, but would fill the area that I needed with stone. I felt this still wasn't satisfactory as the preference would be ashpault, but he told me that was not an option. I have yet to hear from him about the stone and it's been over a month without further communication. Take the owners advice and don't allow them to touch your project as they are INEXPERIENCED. Go elsewhere! On top of that, they left the road a mess, their lines are not straight, worked the whole time at my house without shirts on and left all their gravel/pavement in my grass. Totally unprofessional.
A couple of weeks after completing my driveway (May 2024), the tar began to break up and turn to loose gravel pellets in several spots. I contacted them (Jun 2024) and sent pictures. After several attempts to get a response, someone came out to check it (Nov 2024) and said it was normal. It wasn’t so John finally came himself and agreed that it needed to be re-done. They were supposed to come a week later but had to cancel and then had to wait until May 2025 when temps were warmer. Nothing. In Jun 2025, after several attempts to get a response, I was told it would be Aug 2025 due to a personal issue. Nothing again. Have been trying since Sep 2025 to get a response; it’s now mid-Oct.
New driveway install was an excellent experience. John and his team were fabulous to work with. I have nothing but compliments on the installation of my new driveway.
