Johnstown Motel

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Getaway! Our stay at this boutique motel was absolutely wonderful. The staff were warm, attentive, and thought of every detail. The amenities were fantastic — we especially loved the s’mores kits for the nightly fire! The Après lounge was the perfect spot to unwind at the end of the day, with a delicious menu of shareables and great drinks. Truly a memorable stay — we can’t wait to come back!

Stayed here with my wife for 5 nights and really enjoyed the facilities and communal vibes offered at this small boutique motel. The rooms (13 in total) are very clean and well appointed so you won't be disappointed. Instead of a typical bar fridge, Penny's provides each room with a dedicated cooler (just outside your door) filled with fresh ice each day to keep your favourite beverages cold. They've also created a central courtyard with tables, chairs, plunge pool, sauna, fire pit and various games to keep everyone entertained. And if you prefer remaining onsite after a long day on the road, they also have a small restaurant/bistro onsite to keep you fueled for the following day. This was our first time staying at a retro motel but we simply loved it and will be going back again sometime soon.

Our stay at Penny’s Motel was so memorable and exceeded our expectations in every way. The small touches were a delight and made such an impact from the hand written welcome card to the s’mores kits to the retro coolers. The amenities in the room and throughout the property are so impressibly thought out, comfortable & welcoming. Apres is a must experience… with a staff that feel like old friends. A must visit for cocktails & eats. If you are lucky enough to be served by Ethan, you are in for a treat… he is a master behind the bar, attentive, charming & such fun. We will go back. Highly recommend!
