Had my appointment with Christian and it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a hair salon. I was skeptical at first due to the curly nature of my hair but he took the time to explain everything carefully and recommended the best techniques to achieve the look I had in mind , which turned out even better than the original inspo . Lovely service and amazing hairdresser

Hello Dany, Seeing that I'm unable to post another review on the Jumbo Jumbo site I'm sharing this with you in the hopes that you will give it your immediate attention. With thanks, Blayne Gervais Marc-André, Your response is unacceptable both in tone and substance. Instead of addressing legitimate service concerns, you chose to dismiss my right to speak on behalf of my wife, focus on who posted the review, and offer a patronizing comment about “gratitude.” This is not the conduct expected of a professional with 25 years in the industry. For absolute clarity, these issues remain unresolved: Makeup applied far heavier than requested, contrary to clear instructions. Personal brushes and makeup belonging to my wife not returned. Lateness and lack of preparation at the consultation. Failure to provide the requested updo, despite being shown a photo reference. A $300+ charge for a service that fell far below acceptable professional standards. These are not subjective impressions — they are verifiable facts. Your reply ignored every one of these points, offered no apology, no acknowledgment of responsibility, and no proposed resolution. We are expecting the immediate return of my wife’s personal property and a substantive response addressing the service failures and the matter of appropriate compensation. If this issue is not resolved promptly and professionally, we will have no hesitation in escalating it further, including but not limited to: Filing a formal complaint with your salon management or ownership, Contacting consumer protection authorities, and Sharing an accurate and detailed account of this experience with the public. Gervais My original complaint as follows: Dear Marc, I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the makeup and hair services provided to my wife on her wedding day. What should have been a joyful and memorable experience was overshadowed by a series of avoidable failures on your part. From the very beginning, the consultation set the tone. You were late and unprepared, making my wife wait beyond her scheduled time. When it came time for the actual service, despite her clear request for a light and natural makeup look, she was left feeling overpainted — not like the radiant bride she hoped to be. To make matters worse, you failed to return her personal brushes and makeup, which is both unprofessional and unacceptable. On the day of the wedding, you were shown a reference photo for her desired updo. Despite this, the final hairstyle did not reflect what she asked for, leaving her feeling deeply disappointed at a moment that should have been perfect. Finally, the bill of more than $300 was completely disproportionate to the quality of service received. The lack of professionalism and care throughout the entire experience fell far short of what anyone should expect, especially for such a significant occasion. We are requesting a full or substantial refund, along with the immediate return of the personal items you failed to give back. More importantly, we hope you take this feedback seriously and ensure that no other bride has to experience such unnecessary stress on their wedding day. We expect your prompt response. Very very disappointed. I was from out of town for my wedding day in old Quebec city. I emailed the salon for my needs. Only one there that will apply your makeup if you supply is Marc. I bought all the makeup and as I don't normally wear, I counted on him to "make me beautiful" as he said. And style the updo I wanted. I came for the consultation...he didn't even know what I was there for.i wasn't scheduled in. He rushed around to fix this. He did not do the hairstyle I showed him. He heavily put on my makeup ( tried to get some off before the ceremony) And kept some of the expensive makeup I brought. I hated my hair, makeup, and I was charged over $300! And stupid me left a tip. I would never go back to this salon nor Marc. Thankfully my fiance encouraged me..and the photographer. You didn't totally ruin my special day. Since I can't respond to your comments back to me Marc -Andre Belanger, I will edit and add to mine. I agree you did indeed help me out with the ruined nails, responded to my emails, and yes rearranged other appointments to correct the not "late" but I wasn't even on the computer for the "free consultation" situation. I did show you exactly with a picture the style I wanted. Since I couldn't see behind what you were doing, I trusted you were doing what I showed you. My hair was rolled up in a bun. I could've done that myself! The make up was heavily applied. When you put me in another room to attend someone else, I tried to wipe as much as I could off. The hair when I got a mirror behind me..I couldn't believe it. I then had only a half hour to get to my wedding. Nothing could be done at that point. So being as disappointed with both hair makeup and the cost charged, I respectfully left you a very generous tip. As for the makeup not returned..it was 5 items not noticed till I got back home. Since I dont live in QC. I cant pick it up. I also had no knowledge my husband wrote a review after mine till later. He was upset because this day meant a lot to me, and I wont fault him for that as grooms aren't normally in attendance while their bride-to- be is getting ready. He had every right to come to my defense. As you stated "unforeseen events happen" And they did, and I was disappointed It still didn't totally ruin my day.
