My experience with JIBC has been extremely disappointing. The EMR program lacks proper student support and professionalism. Instructors have used inappropriate language in classroom settings, creating an uncomfortable learning environment. The admissions department also appears disorganized and unhelpful — it often feels like they don’t know what they’re doing or how to properly guide students. On top of that, failing one exam can result in being removed from the program, with students told to reapply even after paying over $2,500 in tuition. Overall, the program feels poorly managed, and I would not recommend this school to others.

Complete disgrace from a university that is supposed to train the next gen of vital occupations involving emergency care. Waiting months, and paying money for a course when during that time you plan blindly as they give you no notice or information outside maybes and unknowns. The organization and discipline to provide even an accurate skeleton of a schedule is non existent. Payed for registration and glad that's all I wasted it on only to have the course not offered in the one Interior BC campus. Good luck if your working full time too, as I do, (and many young Canadians) so I don't know how they can expect you to drop 2k plus the time of work, notice to current employer, gas, find a place to stay in that city for 30 days, on a drop of a hat. They will only release a schedule a week or two if your lucky. They don't offer any housing for their courses nor any kind of support for future students wanting to take courses and spend money. I'd much rather take my money to the Columbia instead of this sad excuse for a university. High rep, and less then satisfactory reality. They at least can make a schedule for more than a month ahead.

I would give these guys zero stars if I could. Impossible to get anything accomplished online or on the phone. I Paid for a course by cash, the course i paid for would not work online. Requested a refund. Was told I had to wait a couple of weeks for a refund. This place is a joke!!!! Do your research. It has been painful trying to do anything with JIBC in the last 20 years.

The emergency services course I took was convenient in that it was online. The only thing that put me off was the use of pronouns. No need for correspondence to contain " my pronouns are she/ her". I can guess the gender from the name. After all, there are only 2. Male or female! The gender dysphoria craze should not be included in education of any type.
