Nice Hotel is a convenient location. This place is perfect for anyone attending any of the major sport team’s games or any traveling fans. Has a really nice bar setup with TVs galore. Hotel is located near the highway for easy travel but far enough away where you don’t have to worry about noise or traffic from the highway. Also very close to the StreetCars (trolly) which take you up and down Main Street so very little need for a car to explore. Staff was amazing and nice and the room was very clean. Also very quick elevators. Will 100% be the hotel I use in the future.

Very conveniently located in proximity to the convention center. Beds are very comfortable. Shower is a little awkward to figure out the first time. Sports bar off the lobby has a movie theater sized screen. Definitely recommend the Reuben sandwich and BBQ platter.

Deeply disturbed by the lack of security. The elevators are intually confusing. You must input your desired floor via kiosk to call the elevator. Kiosk directs you to a specific lift. Once inside the car, there are no buttons. Others who pile in must exit to select their desired floor and assigned lift. AT NO POINT ARE PASSSNGERS CHALLENGED with a room key to access floors or records WHO accesses which floors. When the front desk gets overwhelmed (as was the case during visit), ANYONE could slip into the building and onto floors. The connecting building was open from street entrance with no front desk or security at the door. Access to both buildings via connecting bridge went unchallenged. HUGE SECURITY RISK! ||The garage elevator does not connect to the lobby, but instead, the outside entrance across the vehicle pull-through. This is a very poor design and is a "car versus pedestrian" risk that increases greatly during peak occupancy (as was the case during our visit). Inclement weather also means guests who opt not to valet must brave the elements. ||The garage has multiple EV chargers, but several were not working. Staff provided inaccurate information as to their location. Staff also lacked to advise guests via verbal reminder or signage that they should be polite and move to another parking spot after their EV is fully charged. This polite reminder would allow more guests to utilize the EV chargers. ||The keycard was not coded to allow us to exit the garage. We had to buzz for someone to raise the gate. We asked the front desk to recode our keycard to allow this. Once again, our keys failed to allow our exit, and we had to buzz to have someone raise the gate. We are mindful to not place our cards near cell phones, credit cards, or other devices that could interfere with operation - there was no issue with them accessing the room. ||Our particular bathroom had a large chunk of material missing from the vanity. The outlets were bulging from the wall. This demonstrates poor inspection and poor quality of installation or maintenance. ||Overall the hotel was very nice but the SECURITY RISK was alarming.

I honestly don’t even know where to start. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel, and that’s saying something considering we’re paying over $8,000 in room fees for our wedding weekend. After the restaurant stopped serving food, we tried to bring in our own. Instead of being understanding or helpful, the staff told us we couldn’t, then threatened to call security, and actually did call security on us. Over food. At our own wedding weekend. It’s hard to put into words how disappointed and embarrassed I am. We chose this place expecting hospitality and care, instead we got treated like we were a problem. For the amount of money we’ve spent, I expected at least a little kindness or flexibility. If you’re thinking about hosting an event or staying here, please think twice. What should’ve been one of the happiest weekends of our lives has turned into one of the most stressful and upsetting.

Kansas City Marriott Downtown is a hotel.
