Customer experiences
Dr. keller in urology almost unalived me. I was overdosed on ketamine, they unhooked my insulin pump and left me with DKA and sepsis. Took a team of experts at Baptist to save my life after she destroyed it.
Be aware of extra, perhaps unexpected-to-you, charges beyond the examination fee. We made an appointment and a follow-up appointment with a specialist, expecting to pay the specialist exam fee each time. Not expecting the additional $253 facility fee each time, and as billing is delayed, we did not become aware of it until after the 2nd visit. When I called, I was told the clinic is "hospital-based" and so there is the additional fee. We were not told of the fee when making or arriving at the appointments, and the name of the facility is "Kentucky Clinic" - no hospital in the name - but I was told this is not surprise billing because signs are posted that 2 bills will be sent. I did not see the signs, and certainly no one at the clinic directed my attention to them. So frustrating that a brief outpatient visit incurs a "facility fee" on top of the exam fee. It is a definite deterrent to future visits.
Do NOT go to Orthopedics in the Lexington Clinic. They will charge you insane rates because they have classified themselves as an emergency room. One x-ray was over $600 and my cast was $900. Go to Orthopedics at the Lexington Clinic. They are kind, they listen, and you will save a large amount of money. Their x-rays are around $100.
The parking garage is a disaster. The handicapped section is usually full, and the handicapped drop off spots in the upper levels do not have egress for wheelchair users on the passenger side. Getting into and out of the gates is often clogged. Once you’re in the garage it’s often clogged and there are no staff to direct vehicles. This has become normal here. Today after struggling to even get into the facility, we were greeted by a line down the hall to get in for our lab appointment.
