Everyone has their own experience. I would HIGHLY recommend this school. Aja was a WONDERFUL teacher. She made the class feel as if it was inclusive and we were never bored. Answered every question we had with amazing detail and connected with and treated us all as if we were already phlebotomists. From Lecture to lab as time went on I felt more confident and got better. She was there every step of the way and taught in a way it was easy to catch on. Felicity (Financial) & Morgan (Externship) were also extremely helpful with my million questions (from payment plans to requirements for medical for externship). This school doesn’t treat you as if you were a kid and shoved into the world. They prep you and stay considerate of different learning abilities. After I graduated I got a job instantly at LabCorp. That does not happen for a lot of students but I had the luck of a great Externship site and great employees. KYPHLEB also has other programs that you can look into and the instructors like Marsha are also extremely nice and thorough. To be nervous is OKAY! If you don’t jump, you won’t fly and succeed.

I would not recommend this school to anyone — not even a dog. I attended from March through June and was extremely disappointed with the quality of instruction. The staff seemed unqualified and unprofessional; our instructor spent most of the time sitting in the back of the room, yelling out random information instead of actually teaching. It felt like we were expected to teach ourselves — which begs the question: what exactly are we paying for? The curriculum was disorganized, and I left feeling like I learned very little — and possibly even incorrect information. It’s incredibly frustrating to invest time and money into a program that fails to provide proper education or support. The only positive experience I had was with my classmates, who were helpful and supportive. Unfortunately, peer support doesn't make up for poor instruction. Adding to the frustration, we were often required to stay after class on certain days. The reason given was that “we had a lot to cover” — but many of us felt this had less to do with catching up and more to do with padding her hours for a larger paycheck. It didn’t seem like we gained anything from the extra time, and it felt unfair and exploitative, especially when the regular class time was already being wasted due to lack of proper instruction. MANY attempts were brought to her attention about what is going on in this class but she would just dismiss the questions with no real resolution. Many classmates did NOT pass so that is a false accusation in attempt to disregard my review. My absences were excused and the make up sessions weren’t anything but extra hours for her check like I stated before. If you’re serious about getting into the medical field, I highly suggest looking elsewhere.

Mrs. Kim is a fantastic teacher, she explained the content in a way that was easy to comprehend. She made me feel very welcome at the school, and answered any questions I ever had. The schedule options are very flexible and the price of the course is fair for what you get out of it. You do really need to study the NHA study guide in order to pass the certification exam, which I wish we had covered more thoroughly in class, but everything else about the school is great and I highly recommend it.

I am very upset. During the study period, you are required to pay the fees on time, or you risk being expelled. However, after finishing, they don’t send the certificate. This is the worst administration I have ever dealt with in my life. I do not recommend wasting your time at this school. I have been waiting a month and a half for my certificate.
