I have never been treated so poorly when purchasing a vehicle. The delays and excuses were one thing, but today when we went to drive our new vehicle for the first time, we discovered there is no dealership plate as we were promised. That the dealer drove it to our house without plates is problematic. That we had to cancel a medical appointment for our children due to their screw up is unconscionable. We loved our old Toyota but it highly unlikely we will ever purchase another one. Edit. It was not just the temporary plate as indicated below. We arranged to pick up a new vehicle from the dealer. It had been delayed due to weather. We had a time restraint and had indicated this when we booked the appointment. We were assured that it would not be a problem. Between forgotten paperwork, lost emails and whatever else, it took our full appointment time. We signed the paperwork and were assured the van would be dropped off at our house. It arrived. We went to drive it and discovered there was no temporary plate. We were assured it would arrive immediately. Having cancelled 2 medical appointments, we finally decided to pick it up. The expiration date was wrong. The comments below show exactly what we were dealing with.. it wasn’t their fault. We heard this story several times. I understand that things don’t always go as planned but this experience was frustrating and could have been avoided had the dealer taken a moment and listened instead of brushing us off

I brought my brand new vehicle 2025 in for service at Toyota Kentville on October 9, for a regular oil change and to have the brakes checked, as there was a noticeable noise coming from them. After the inspection, the technician told me the vehicle was “good to go.” He mentioned that the brakes were dry from the factory and that this kind of noise can happen with new vehicles. However, shortly after the service, the brake noise returned. I called the dealership to explain the issue and asked if I could bring the car back in—especially since I’m about to travel out of province and drive 900 miles. My main concern was safety, not convenience. Unfortunately, the service department was unwilling to accommodate me sooner and told me I’d have to wait five days for another appointment. I wasn’t trying to book a whole new service—I was just there for this exact issue, and clearly it wasn’t resolved. Given the circumstances and the fact that this is a brand new vehicle, I expected more urgency and flexibility. Very disappointed with the lack of support and responsiveness. Safety concerns should never be brushed off, especially on a new car. I expected better from a Toyota dealership.

We recently traded in our Toyota truck for a newer model at Kentville Toyota. We cannot say enough good things about all the staff at this location, very professional and helpful. Our salesman Eric made the transaction seamless, was very friendly, knowledgeable and did everything in a timely manner. We appreciated him very much and he made it a great experience. Highly recommend this dealership!
