TASTE (8/10): I actually liked it a lot. The toppings were generous, the flavor was solid, and the whole thing was satisfying. I got a 14” pizza for around $22. The only issue is the dough — it’s thin, and that’s apparently just how things are done here in the US. Not really this place’s fault, but still annoying when half the toppings slide off as you pick up a slice. A thicker crust would make life easier. PRICE (7/10): Not exactly cheap, but given the size and quality, it felt fair. ATTITUDE (8/10): Staff were chatty, friendly, and easy to talk to. No problems there. PLACE (7/10): The space is modest, can host around 20 to 25 people. Not super big, but functional. Clean enough to sit and eat without worry, though definitely not sparkling. CLEANLINESS (7/10): It wasn’t spotless, but not dirty either. Somewhere in the “it’ll do” category. ADDITIONAL FEES/HIDDEN COSTS (10/10): No sneaky charges. What you see is what you pay. LOCATION (6/10): Parking is tricky. There’s space for maybe 3 or 4 cars out front, but it fills up fast. Not a dedicated lot either — it’s just street parking. We had to park pretty far back. OVERALL IMPRESSION: Recommended. Solid pizza, decent experience. Chance of returning: 85%

Stopped in for a late lunch. All staff is attentive and happy to serve and please. We tried two personal pizzas, pepperoni and the house special. Both good, especially liked the crust. Also had the cheesy bread - the marinara sauce is especially yummy. And you must try the chocolate mousse cake!! Good beers on draft too. Would definitely recommend!

In town for the week and was looking for something simple for dinner and pizza always fits that bill. Did a quick search and came across DownCity. We can't recommend this place enough. To simplify this post we will say the pizza is excellent, the Narragansett Lager was awesome, and the friendly staff made us want to post this review, which I typically don't do. Thank you!

There is good pizza, and great pizza places, DownCity, 53 Weybosset St, Providence, RI is the later, with a nice location, exceptional staff and fantasticaly great pizza. Went there twice in one day, enjoy a local lager and get a fresh pizza, or about 2 dozen other items.
