Jiwan was AWESOME. I understand the importance of making personal connections as a server and frankly he was top notch! My daughter and I had a bunch of good laughs with him. The food, as always, was fabulous. Been coming here a long time, and this spot never disappoints! Posted about my visit on Facebook, and many folks believed it was still closed down. I'm glad I brought some attention among my circle, as I'd never want this place to close it's doors for good. Thanks for being a gem in Kansas City.

The Mongolian barbeque is pretty decent. Their dishes ordered off the menu are really good. The clay pots come out piping hot! The Tofu Mushroom Pot is delicious with lots of bean thread noodles. It has a sweet slightly soy sauce tasting broth, almost like a tempura sauce. Tofu, mushrooms, and cabbage I believe. The Taiwanese Curry Pot has a rich thick sauce, lots of red and green peppers, big chunks of onion, plenty of tofu and is served with rice. It has always been delicious. They even have one of the delicious Blue Koi appetizers - the Tofu and Awesome Sauce. The atmosphere is nice, slightly dark in the evenings, with a big window across the balcony in the back. Decorated with lots of interesting, well done photography. The service has always been friendly and good, on the last visit it was especially so and very kid friendly. I definitely recommend checking out their menu options if you get the chance.

2 people , 1 had soda 1 water and 2 rounds of Mongolian $55. B4 tip. Ran out of soup. 1 person had the beef only on a plate cooked from the bar and a small salad they had no ranch dressing. Person 2 had the free comes with white rice and grilled chicken and beef. The checkout girl asked how we liked the food? I had been to the one in Independence. They are worlds apart I had to tell the lady , I didn't recognize the food. I thought maybe the frozen beef and chicken on the bar were , beyond meat, or something like that. I had the runs after. Maybe the bar keeps the place open, it's within walking distance in a neighborhood and could save a DUI. Although there was no one at the bar at lunch.

One of my favorite restaurants has reopened! This restaurant is the only Mongolian Grill I have been to because I love it so much. After being closed for almost 2 years, I was excited to find they had reopened. Apparently they reopened in March 2024. If you had been a fan of the restaurant before I think you'll be happy with it as it is now. The same setup as before including the vegetable bar, the protein bar and the oil and liquids bar where you load up your bowls. They still offer many enticing dishes but I will probably always load bowls and have them grilled. It is a little scaled back but I wasn't disappointed. If you get the grill option you can also get a bowl of egg drop or sour soup, a couple of small bites of brownie or lemon bar and several fresh fruits like watermelon. My lunch was about $20 because I just had water with it. Not including tip.
