Krys Construction was absolutely incredible from start to finish! We received quotes to renovate our unfinished basement from several different contractors and Krys was the best by far. Krys Construction is a team of artists who put the utmost level of care and expertise into the work they do. They sourced quality materials while staying mindful of our budget. They were remarkably organized and stuck to a strict schedule which ensured all work was completed on time and as planned. The owner Krys is knowledgeable, friendly and honest, and it's clear that he has high standards for his renovation projects. His assistant Paulina was patient, responsive, and client-oriented; helping us feel comfortable throughout the process by maintaining open communication. Krys Construction far exceeded our expectations for our basement renovation project. Krys and his secretary Paulina were an absolute pleasure to deal with, but it was the work ethic of the entire team that impressed us the most. This is a team that took the time to explain all the work in detail, give us an upfront cost (a firm cost, not an estimate that fluctuated as the project went on), and a timeline which they maintained throughout the project. The workers were not concerned with billable hours or the cost of a few extra nails here and there—rather, they focused on getting the job done, doing the job well, and taking great pride in the quality of the overall project. During our six-week renovation we always felt comfortable with the good people coming in and out of our house, and are incredibly happy with the results. We hired Krys and his team to finish our basement this winter. The space included a bedroom, full bath, gym/office space, wetbar, and a living room with a media wall and built-ins. The experience with Krys and his team was superb from start to finish. Krys is calm, knowledgeable, organized, responsive, and detail-oriented. He was the only contractor who provided us with a detailed floor plan proposal with his free quote. We had a fairly strict timeline due to the arrival of a new child; a detailed schedule was provided weeks before the start date, and all project milestones were met on time or earlier. His team of trusted, friendly, and highly skilled trades worked long hours (and weekends, too) to transform our space, and were accommodative of changes along the way. He used a progress payment schedule, and there were no unexpected costs or overages. I recommend Krys Construction without hesitation, and will definitely call them for future projects.
