I traveled for over an hour to try North Bay Luxembourg after a friend’s recommendation, but sadly, the experience was a major letdown. When I arrived, I was greeted kindly by the female waitress, which gave me a good first impression—but that was short-lived. I had about 3 centimeters of coffee left in a takeaway cup from earlier, which I intended to throw away. Before I could even do anything with it, the grumpy man in the kitchen snapped at me, saying, “You have to toss it or drink outside, that’s how it works.” No hello, no polite request—just rudeness straight out the gate. He didn’t bother to ask if there was anything left in the cup (there barely was) and didn’t consider that I wasn’t drinking it nor planning to. His attitude was completely unnecessary, especially in a nearly empty restaurant. It felt less like a friendly local spot and more like an unwelcoming power trip. To compare, it’s like being told to leave your groceries outside simply because you brought them in—even if you’re not opening or using them. I was genuinely excited to support this place, but that one interaction ruined the whole experience. A bit of kindness would’ve gone a long way. If you’re in the business of hospitality, take a moment to reflect on how you treat your customers—especially the ones who travel long distances and are willing to spend more than what your condescending attitude is worth.

Amazing breakfast menu. We tried the burrito, north bay menu, and the pancakes, nothing is dissapointing. We love the warmth ambience from the owner who is a Canadian.

This is totally a place to check out!!! The host is super friendly and nice, the food is awesome ( I hope they will never take off the menu the falafel sandwich!) and the place, even if small, is cozy and warm...loved it, definitely going back :)
