My wife and I hired Priscilla to help train our rescue puppy who was developing some reactive habits on leash. Priscilla was absolutely incredible the entire time. She was patient with us, understood our goals, worked on our schedule and came to us to make it as easy as possible and actually taught us the skills to make sure our lessons would have a lasting impact. Most importantly, Priscilla is AMAZING with dogs and made an incredible impact on her reactivity issues. Our dog is now night and day different and able to enjoy her life so much more. Scheduling sessions with LA Pet Training Solutions for my sun conure Oberyn (Obi Boi) has got to be one of the best decisions I have made for him, an investment in his future for sure! We chose the Basic free-flight package after our consultation because our goal for Obi was to be able to recall if he ever got out but by our last session Obi exceeded expectations and is now successfully free-flying at the basic level. Our trainer not only guided us through sessions by correcting and clarifying parrot behavior on the spot but also gave us a review of our lessons which was a big help. It is hard to see progress sometimes day-to-day (and YES you gotta go do your training homework to be successful) and the reviews of the lessons helped highlight areas that we both improved on and areas that needed more consideration. Another thing that I found really helped solidify some more complicated parrot training (more like people training am i rite?)aspects is being able to reach out to our trainer with questions about nutrition, housing, and physical handling of our bird which helped create a more rounded and complete program for our Obi Boi. At the beginning of our journey Obi was a very loud boi who was nervous about us and would not come when called reliably in our own home. We worried about possible escape (we do not clip wings here) so we hired LA Pet Solutions to help us better understand our bird and through positive reinforcement and permission based training we were able to accomplish so much! Today Obi and I went out to our favorite park for some flying and the only thing I was really anxious about was not getting to my spot fast enough before having Obi fly over. Perfect recall outdoors for up to 200ft. This could have possibly been because of all the time my husband and I have invested in our free-flight training hw but it was definitely because of all the advice we got from LA Pet Solutions. We could not have gotten this far without them.
