Dr. Mason at Lakeway has been our vet for 18 years. She has always been caring and knowledgeable. Through the years she’s helped us welcome new pets to our home, as well as been there for the difficult goodbyes. Her prices are fair and reasonable. I would recommend Lakeway to anyone who is looking for a vet and I have referred friends and family! Great place and kind people.

We love the staff! They have helped us with all our animals large and small. Last minute or scheduled out they have taken care of our babies. They take the time to make sure we understand things clearly, have everything what we need, and follow ups are always quick and easy. 🙂

Made an appointment for my dog to get a mass removed surgically and they didn't tell us until day of the surgery that they couldn't take her. They were super vague about answers and wouldn't give us the time of day to help us after we had this appointment for weeks. They instead offered options to put her down and told us "we can wait until the mass bursts and then maybe we can talk about putting her down." Mind you, she is not ready to die. Basically trying to convince us to put her down when it's not her time. They tried telling us her mass was going to burst any minute and she would pass away, which we learned from another vet that just is not true and it had no indication of bursting. They did a biopsy and we had to coerce the answers out of them to find out if it was cancerous, to which they told us "all tumors are cancerous." We got another biopsy from a different vet and found out that it's not as serious as they let up. They just wanted money and our dog dead. Dr. Mason was the one who helped us that day and refused us because we couldn't pay the $1,400 day of and wouldn't let us do reoccuring payments because they "couldn't trust we would pay it all." And we were nice, just worried for our dog. They made us more worried for no reason. The Petco vet was super helpful AND more affordable. Super nice as well. If you've had good experiences at this vet, by all means still go, I'm just sharing my experience. Thank you. Here's a picture of my sweet girl.

Very caring, kind & gentle. My cat is pretty skiddish & they are super sweet with her. Never feel like they are trying to upsell me - just what we need to take great care of our Lucy!!
