Hello, I am hosik choi. I scheduled a meeting with a lawyer about two months ago, and canceled the meeting by the lawyer two hours before, so I could not receive the deposit I had already paid. But it has been two months and it has not been resolved yet. Please let me know how to proceed.

I have worked with Me Corina-Andreea Toma for a Cour du Quebec file (vices cachés, non conformité immeuble). She was supervised by Me Mélanie Archambault. Me Toma is the only lawyer that I have worked with and liked! And I have seen at least 5 of them. She has always provided sound advise and service. Their fees were fair and the service was without fault, fast and helpfull. Despite her beauty, I was pleasantly surprised for the solid/professional/quality work that we have done for my Cour du Quebec file. We have worked in French. Initial consultation with her and Me Archambault was good too, although Me Archambault went hard on my case :) I wish their office would have employees trained for Tribunal Administrative du Logement. I booked a virtual consultation with a senior lawyer at this firm. They were significantly more expensive than 4 other firms I contacted and required advance payment which I found unusual. The legal advice received met my expectations, however there was such a lack of professionalism and respect during the consultation that I will never recommend or do business with this firm again. Minor issues: The lawyer rescheduled last minute to another day - fine, but then on the rescheduled day and time, they hadn't joined after 15 min, I had to call their office to remind them. But the worst was that the lawyer was an incredibly poor listener, repeatedly cutting me off before I had finished asking questions and they kept misinterpreting my points. They were very impatient throughout and even openly insulted me at one point, accusing me of asking so many questions because "you seem really insecure and I don't work well with insecure people." (!!) It's unfortunate when someone with valuable expertise is able to operate with no concept of customer service. Apparently they do not teach basic respect in Quebec's law schools.

I'd give a 0 star if I could!! Wow....initial meeting of 500$+ to advice us to move forward saying we have a case. Another 1800.00$+ to finally tell us that we don't have a case and we paid for nothing. ALSO, they switched our lawyer 3x on us!! Each lawyer couldn't care less, our case was not a priority for them. Spoke to the manager and SUPER disappointed. Worse conversation of my life, kept cutting me off and talking a whole bunch of bulls!t!!! Save your money and go for another firm!!
