UPDATE* SOOO initially I gave a 3 out of 5 rating based on the review below. I have to say that since that review Home Hardware has gone above and beyond to fix my situation and I am extremely grateful. So they are getting a well deserved 5 star rating and if I could give them a 10 out of 5 I would....and I did end up also buying a stove from them as well. They replaced the fridge and dealt with Frigidaire (who was giving me the run around) so Stephane at Home Hardware took a huge burden off my shoulders. So the following paragraph is my initial unhappy review that has since been remedied with great care.and compassion.Thank you guys!! I have always been very happy with Home Hardware. They have great, helpful and friendly staff. I bought a frigidaire refrigerator from them almost a month ago and it never worked. I thought it was maybe just taking a little longer for temps to lower but turns out it never worked from the get go. A little over 2 weeks I decided to go in with my receipt and tell them the brand new fridge doesn't work and they said sorry nothing we can do you have to contact frigidaire. So it took me almost 3hrs to grt an appointment throught frigidaire's AI chat bots and the repairman is supposed to come here on Thursday anywhere between 9am and 4pm....so that means I lose a day's pay waiting for a repairman for a fridge that should have been replaced. I have always made the extra effort, even if things cost a little more, to shop at ahome Hardware and shop locally. I am a single parent and it took me a while to save for a fridge, and now when it counts Home Hardware didn't help when it mattered the most. I also need a stove and was going to buy it there, but now still almost a month with a broken fridge and 2 kids and lots of spoiled groceries, I think I will buy the stove elsewhere. So disappointed. They should have taken it back after only 2 weeks and saved me so much trouble.

I am very impressed with your store from the helpful staff to the clean and organized shelves. I stopped by yesterday to pick up three items. A member of your staff that was stocking shelves dropped what they were doing and immediately helped me find those items. I have had the same level of service in every past visit as well. Bravo to the manager and staff of your store.

It's nice to have a well appointed and stocked hardware store and lumber yard in Almonte. Very handy that it's only a few minutes drive away and delivery fees in town aren't that expensive. And in today's environment many people are looking for the "shop local" alternative. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable but maybe a little too much so for my taste. As you're shopping you'll be constantly asked by staff if you're finding what you're looking for. Personally I prefer to shop in peace without interruptions, but for staff to be around and available if I do have questions. Also, it's more a complaint about corporate, but the website desperately needs updating. It's not very good about indicating if something is actually in stock at this store, and many items, especially lumber and building materials, have no price and simply say to "call for availability and price." If you're pricing out a large job, it's a lot of work to expect from the consumer in this day and age to call in with a large list of items looking for prices. It's a good store overall, but it needs some work to get into the 21st century.
