Lexington County School District One

this district is horrible. they care more about kids having their phones out then the drug problems and violence. a girl with perfect grades and all honors classes gets sent to alternative school because some drug addict kid took her pepper spray and discharged it, but the kid who discharged it was given other options besides alternative school.

No wonder Lexington, white knoll, Gilbert, and riverbluff are all messed up high schools. Lexington District 1 does not care about their students. With major drug and violence problems. This story has two main people who I will leave unnamed one boy and one girl. The boy with average grades and has gotten in trouble with the school for carrying a vape on him- and the girl- 4.2 GPA, national honors society and AP classes, and has never gotten in trouble with the school. At Lexington high school, a young girl carries pepper spray on her for safety from a stalker she’s had for 2 years. This kid walked into her class while he was high off cannabis at the time stole her pepper spray and targeted two different kids. After he had attacked two kids with the pepper spray he ran out of the room. Both the girl and the boy got kicked out of school, but unlike her he was facing a lesser consequence. Both the boy and the girl had their meeting with the district 1 office. They’re sending the girl to alternative school for troubled kids. This school has already accused multiple kids of being on drugs with no evidence, and when the kids test showed up negative they still suspended the kids. This district is terrible and cares very little for the kids safety and does not care for the kids mental health. They rule out unfair consequences. Do not let your kids attend school here.

they don’t inform the parents or the students about anything that happens. no one in these schools are happy about going and there’s no sense of community or love at all. enforce gun laws, that’s more important then cell phones. embarrassing and disgusting to even call yourselves schools.
