Tim is great. His colour work always comes out beautifully even if its not exactly what I was imagining. He always lets me know what to expect with regards to my personal hair texture and base colour as well as products to use to maintain it and listening to him has always yielding great results. Tim and Erin are always nice and accommodating and going to their salon is always a fun time. Highly recommend both of them. 😊

I came into Loft Salon excited to have a total hair transformation. I booked here impulsively, but I originally got a good vibe from the hostess/female stylist. I asked for a pretty transformative change: platinum highlights with black highlights interwoven in the underlayers with a shadow root to reduce salon visits frequently. The first half of the salon visit was going okay, although when it became time to wash my hair after bleaching, that was when things started to take a downturn. Immediately after bleaching the stylist is aggressively saying how my hair is yellow, it’s so yellow, you know some people say yellow is in, going in circles highlighting the degree of yellow in my hair. Then, when I started asking him what he was going to do about the yellow, the stylist did present defensive, evasive, and told me to ā€œnot worry about itā€ even though I repeatedly asked him are you going to tone, what are you going to do to make the tones match, do we need to change course. I was still given the green light, and I decided to keep trusting the process. After some time passes, the toner and black is processing and the stylists are debating my root shadow color. They picked a color that was warm, which everyone has color matching moments right, my stylist blames the other stylist on the spot in front of me. It was an uncomfortable situation and as two woman we just shared a look of disappointment. Then I asked the stylist to redo my shadow root, so it’s not warm, he did so with much hesitation. He started slapping the brush all over my hair, and I have weird spots interwoven into my platinum. Secondly, he was visibly annoyed that the brush would physically hit my head at times it felt like punishment. Totally unprofessional behaviour. Regardless, I was tired and the color was acceptable when I left the salon. However a week later, with olaplex and fanola no yellow shampoo, my hair color is a disaster, my hair texture is awful, and my hair is grey. I reached out via email to come together and find a solution and have this turn into a good story. I was met with an additional rate charge of 30-60$ on top of chat gpt and incredibly short uncooperative responses. I spent 578 plus tip. Please be careful when trusting this salon.

I can’t say enough good things about this salon. Erin has been my stylist for a while now, and she’s the reason I keep coming back. I’ve had everything from cuts and blow dries to colour, bleach, and keratin treatments here, and every single service has been amazing. The keratin treatment especially is life changing. If you’re thinking about getting one, this is the place to do it. My frizzy, unmanageable hair is now smooth, low maintenance, and looks amazing every day. I'll always be back for it. This is hands down my go to salon.

Response: I have consent and the picture does not provide her full name but merely her TikTok id. And I shared the post after your salon posted her image stolen from her social media account and using her full name without any consent. The pictures of course were after washing it— it’s when you can actually observe how DAMAGED a hair is, blow dried or straightened hair is not how you can tell, for obvious reasons. A good salon would never leave a dye, to burn someone’s hair to this level, and then hide it by straightening it which only further damages an already fried hair. A good dye doesn’t leave your hair looking like this after washing it, let alone on a first wash. Your salon is unprofessional and ignorant on how the rule of law works. I have screenshots of your post which are evidence of your business posting the face and legal name of a person without their consent and publicly. Train your employees on customer service and to take accountability when they mess with people’s appearance, it’s what serious business know how to manage. Your excuses only confirms your poor customer care and unprofessional attitude. You will be hearing from our lawyer soon. This are Margo’s parents. If you don’t remove and delete the picture and complete name of our daughter immediately, we will file a lawsuit for using her personal information and image without consent, it’s unlawful and a violation of her privacy. Find attached images of her hair after the first wash, it’s completely ruined and it’s not how a salon should leave a person’s hair after paying over $500 cad!!! She first was okay because it had been professionally straightened and the damages wasn’t visible yet. If the image is still public and online by tonight we will proceed to take legal action asap. Find attached images of her hair after going to your salon to receive the worst service ever experienced.
