Customer experiences
This place is amazing! Dr. Lewis is the best vet for both mammals and reptiles/amphibians around. I have snakes, a bearded dragon & a dog. I found Dr. Lewis while looking on the ARAV for local vets who have the actual extra qualifications/degrees/experience to properly treat reptiles. At this point, I was ready to give up on PA. I had seen so many vets over the years for my reptiles and none knew what they were doing; this includes at least two listed on the ARAV site. I was ready to start going to other states. My scaley pets are my world and I’d drive to another state with zero hesitation to get them properly treated. Luckily, I was able to stop my search when I found Dr. Lewis. Dr. Lewis is just as good with my dog as he is with my reptiles but I mention the reptiles specifically because it is so hard to find someone who knows what they’re doing. He not only knows what he’s doing but I believe herpetology was his first area of expertise prior to becoming a vet. He gets genuinely excited to see my animals and you can tell how much he loves working with them. He keeps up on the ever changing research and care of these more exotic and difficult pets to keep. Everything I’ve had to pay for here is priced so reasonably it genuinely shocks me almost every time I’m done with my visit and it’s time to pay. I’m always bracing myself just to be very surprised at how little my bill is. Also, when there isn’t great news, Dr Lewis is compassionate and an expert at how to deliver it. He’s dealt with things as small as an allergy with my dog to as big as cancer with one of my bearded dragons. All have been expertly cared for and treated. If you are looking for a vet, especially for your reptiles, you cannot go wrong here. It is a smaller place but I actually love that about it. Not only is he great but all of his staff have been wonderful as well. I love it here and I don’t know what I’d do if I had to go elsewhere. Give them a chance.
Dr Lewis and his staff are great, very professional and friendly. My dog always bounces off the walls from excitement when she comes in. Dr Lewis genuinely is very helpful and good at what he does. They don’t try to upsell goods or services that are unnecessary and give professional advice on what is best for your pet.
We absolutely love Dr Lewis !! He loves animals and is so sweet with our dog !! He doesn’t charge outrageous prices and is very fair , we have been going to him for years !!! Great vet !!!!!!
I have just recently started coming here, it started with my bearded dragon. He needed to be seen immediately for an issue that he had and I could not find an exotic vet anywhere that could see him and Dr. Lewis got him in within a day or two which was amazing! Then not too long after my kitten decided to jump from high up and broke her front arm and sure enough I was able to get her in there immediately and she got the best of care! Just recently my bearded dragon swallowed a small rubber chicken eraser topper for a pencil and needed surgery to have it cut out of his stomach Dr. Lewis and his team did an amazing job they got it out and my bearded dragon Ringo is all healed up doing really well and the price of the surgery was really affordable I was very surprised! Everything there that they do is very well affordable! I highly recommend this place to anybody that is wondering or needs a veterinarian all the girls that work there the vet technician the girls behind the counter they’re all amazing and I’m thankful for everybody there!
