Customer experiences
Aberash Assefa was literally the worst physician I've ever seen. She does not listen to a word you say and could care less about any complaints you may have. She is rude, condescending, confrontational and in my opinion psychologically unfit to practice medicine. She does not give a reason for anything she does, at all. I asked her a dozen times why she prescribed a pediatric dosage of pregabalin and she never, ever responded; she just kept refilling the minimum child dosage — for a 69 year old male with severe chronic arthritis and debilitating back pain. She said I needed dental work and would schedule an appointment for me. Weeks later I called to follow up and was told I did not have dental insurance, which is absurd. I have full medical and dental with my Medicare plan, which they know since they billed Medicare for my appointment. She said she would have someone remove a ring stuck on my arthritic finger while I was there. I waited until an assistant came and told me to leave and call or message for an appointment to have the ring removed. When I called they told me to go to emergency for that. She refused to prescribe diazepam (12 pills a month like all my previous physicians), gave absolutely no explanation as to why; and instead, sent me to a pain clinic — for insomnia! The pain clinic she sent me to was an outright scam. They basically extort you to endure their ridiculously expensive, painful and useless spinal injections, and if you refuse, they do not prescribe the meds you actually need. I told her about the absurdity of enduring spinal injections just to get valium for my insomnia and asked her to at least prescribe an adult dose of pregabalin. Instead, she refused to authorize even my current monthly refill and instructed me to go back to the pain clinic! Then she stopped responding to calls and messages altogether. Aberash Assefa literally abandoned me as a patient, without cause, without notice, without explanation and with prescriptions pending! As a result of her abject malpractice I have endured months of debilitating pain, lost hundreds of hours of work and suffered countless sleepless nights. I should not have to suffer for her incompetence and I am reporting her and the clinic to Medicare, OMB, AMA and HHS. Anyone who treats their patients like human waste should not be allowed to practice medicine, much less receive taxpayer funding for doing so. PS: They boast a 4.5 rating on their website, claiming it's from "random" surveys from an anonymous 3rd. party. This wreaks of fraud as their Yelp and Google reviews are closer to 2 stars. I'm guessing they publish this misinformation to facilitate government funding.
The worst clinic and PCP I have ever had. My PCP was continually dismissive and derogatory. She had the worst bedside manner I have seen outside of a car mechanic. In fact, I wish I had been dealing with a car mechanic, because they have far more empathy, decency, and courtesy then aberash assefa ever showed. Aberash Assefa is the rudest, most inconsiderate doctor I have seen outside of a TV Show. She is cartoonishly arrogant, and should not be allowed to practice medicine on human beings. When I attempted to reschedule, my appointment was canceled, apparently because one of the other doctors with the clinic has parted ways with the neighborhood health center, showing that they can't keep good medical Talent. When a supposed "Health Center" can't keep either doctors or patients, and sits at a 2.5 star rating, people should know why.
This morning I was in the office getting work done and interacted with a dental hygienist that was absolutely the worst I’ve ever had and I am near 40. As soon as the water went on she didn’t know how to suction it out properly. You’re supposed to close your mouth, which I did, then they suction until you open your mouth but she pulled it out too quickly and ended up getting an obscene amount of water all over my neck, shirt and jacket. she was absolutely unapologetic and rude. I asked for a napkin and she just used the bib to tap my chin and walked away. After weird things kept happening I was getting frustrated and asked how long she had been doing this and she looked at the dentist with a condescending look and said 10 years. The entire time I was there she was passive aggressive she kept spraying my left cheek by my side ear with the air compressor in a way the dentist wouldn’t have been able to see. Every time she used the water she intentionally sprayed my face and at one point I even grabbed the napkin in my hand from when I was drenched in my own saliva and mouthful of water earlier on - to wipe my face and she laughed when the dentist said sorry about the water and actually said “oh there will be a lot more of that”. Then she would rest her hand on my face as she was handing the dentist the tools. As if my face was an arm rest! Lazy girl! I really used to like Dr.Tran but he just doesn’t seem have the empathy or ability to comfort or help patients feel safe and I’ve notice this pattern the last few times. This will be my last time going.
Don’t ever plan on getting labs here done. Went in two weeks ago to get labs and they said it was too late in the day to get them done. Came Back with a scheduled appointment for all the labs I need done and they are still unable to do them because it’s apparently too late! Don’t Schedule appointments for people to get labs done and not do them making me waste my gas and time to get here!
