Customer experiences
It’s a pretty chill spot, I liked the vibe and the variety of seating options. The Shrimp Dumplings were tasty, not much shrimp in the dumplings but the sauce was a real highlight. The Fish Tacos were good, though they couldn’t remove the onions (which I’m not a fan of). The Steak & Fries was disappointing - about 3/4 of the plate was fries, with just a few small pieces of beef lying on the side, a bit pathetic presentation. Service was okay. Overall it’s a nice place to grab drinks and hang out, but not somewhere I’d go for a proper meal. Food (quality, creativity, consistency) - 2.5/5 Drinks (quality, variety) - 3/5 Ambience (interior design, cleanliness) - 4/5 Service (courtesy, knowledge, timeliness) - 3/5 Value (quality vs. price) - 2.5/5 ($$$) OVERALL - 3
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We visited Local Public Eatery in Liberty Village and had a great experience overall! The food was above average — we especially enjoyed the fish tacos, fries, and tandoori chicken pizza. The drinks were outstanding, particularly the spicy margaritas and slush sangria, both bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced. What really stood out was the service — attentive, friendly, and truly above and beyond. The lively atmosphere and great staff made the visit even better. Definitely a place we’d return to for good food, great drinks, and even better vibes.
Just had an amazing meal at Local in Liberty Village. The new trophy burger on the menu was great, definitely recommend to all. We had Nicole as our server, super nice and very attentive, had some great suggestions for our meals. The manager, Kelsey, also stopped by to check on our meals and make sure we had everything we needed, the service was wonderful!
Made a reservation for 10 people a few weeks in advance as I was going to CNE this day and knew finding a restaurant during dinner time would be hard, especially for our size. We arrived and were told they didn't have seating inside, but we were able to get a table outside on the patio, which we were okay with since it was a nice day. I ordered the Brooklyn burger, and it was fine, nothing exciting about it. The onion rings that came with it were really good, though. We also got some nachos to share at the table, and that was also pretty average. Everything is a bit on the pricier side as well. I will say that the service was very friendly. For a table of ten, It took about 20 to 25 minutes for all of our food to come out.
