I had driving lessons with Sunny and honestly couldn’t recommend him highly enough. He’s a fantastic instructor. He’s calm, patient, and very clear in the way he explains everything. Having previously driven only on the right side of the road, I was quite nervous about adjusting to driving on the left, but Sunny made me feel completely confident and comfortable with the change. Thanks to his excellent teaching, my driving improved well beyond the standard needed for the test, and I passed first time. He was also incredibly understanding and accommodating when I had to reschedule some lessons due to an injury, which I really appreciated. I cannot rate or recommend Sunny highly enough! I was doing a driving refresher course after almost 9 years of not driving since I moved back to London, I was nervous!, but immediately Sunny put me at ease! And in no time I felt comfortable behind the wheel again. After a few weeks of practising on my own I will definitely go back for a motorway refresher. I wish I had been fortunate enough to learn with Sunny all the way back when I first learnt to drive because he would be the perfect instructor to teach someone to drive as he is very calming. Sunny was a fantastic teacher. So encouraging, so helpful. I had had some rather demoralising experiences with instructors in the past, but Sunny was very patient, while still being very thorough. I felt confident and adequately prepared for my test. I can feel very anxious and incompetent at times, so Sunny had his work cut out, but he did a superb superb job. Was very happy to pass.

I am sat here now, enjoying a celebratory fry up at a cafe, next to my fresh practical test certificate feeling on top of the world - and it’s all thanks to Sunny and his London City Driving School. I am confident behind the wheel, but I am easy to overthink scenarios. In the time we spent together Sunny went out of his way to adapt to how I am as a person and to how I learn. Having not driven since I was 17 and never attempted my test, sunny took me on for a test session and we decided we were right for eachother - both student and teacher decide that and it’s so important. He and I shared so many conversations and stories, laughs and frustrations that he actually became a fast friend and I genuinely will miss the couple hours a week spent with him venting, learning and enjoying the process as a whole. Lessons aside, without sunny I don’t think I would have been able to even book a test this year (due to the backlog). He offers an additional service that managed to not only get me a suitable date that matched my needs - but actually several to choose from and reject in order to find the one that worked. In a post pandemic world and the backlog being as it is, honestly this additional service was priceless in my opinion. If you’re ready for a test, you want a test NOW! And that’s what he provided to the best of his abilities. London City Driving School and Sunny in particular, are flexible to my needs in terms of my work schedule, he was never late and never judgemental. He guides you firmly but you never feel like an idiot for making small mistakes (or even big ones) - he helps you understand the why so you can learn the how to not do it again. Sunny didn’t join me in the car for the test (less pressure) and so I wore my sunny shirt to keep his spirit there, on the day he gave me a banana for energy as I couldn’t find one myself and it’s the small details like that which show that he is not only right to be in this business, but had knowledge of people and how they work and especially what he needs to do to get the best from them. I can’t sing his praises enough. On a personal note, Sunny, I really will look back fondly on the time we spent together. The license means a lot to my family and I for various reasons and I am so happy that you just so happened to be the best named driving school in London so that I found you at the top of Google! If you go with London City Driving School and Sunny, you will find experience, knowledge, comfort, preparation and all the pre requisite skills you need to pass your test, I promise you. Thank you.
