I recently dined at Wildwood with a group of friends on a particularly busy evening. The place was buzzing with energy, and it was clear that it was a popular spot that night. Despite the crowd, we were seated relatively quickly and started off with drinks, which arrived promptly. However, the food service did not follow suit. After placing our orders, we found ourselves waiting much longer than expected - about 45 minutes. Given how busy it was, we tried to be understanding, but the wait became increasingly noticeable as time went on. When the food finally arrived, my Chicken Cobb Salad was a mixed experience. The grilled chicken breast was done well, with a nice char and good flavor. Unfortunately, the rest of the salad didn't live up to the same standard. The dressing was watery, which didn't do much to enhance the dish, and the lettuce was bitter, making for a less than pleasant bite. Overall, the salad was just average, lacking the freshness and taste I was hoping for. Considering the price point, it didn't feel like good value for money. While the restaurant had a vibrant atmosphere and efficient drink service, the slow food service and the quality of the salad left me feeling that the experience was only just okay. I hope that on a less busy day, the kitchen can deliver on the promise of their menu.
My first time trying Wildwood restaurants and it was very nice a warm atmosphere as you walk in and a friendly welcome as you enter we did not book but they found us a table very quickly we ordered our drinks and food and the service was very quick and the food came hot and looked very presentable I enjoyed my carbanora really tasty, overall will be back to Tey something else
While the Carbonara was tasty, it wasn't hot enough. Service charge is included so don't worry about tipping. Staff were lovely, friendly and polite. Got really busy and waited a while for the bill. Would still recommend and go again.
Calamari had no flavour and risotto seemed microwaved, pizza is dusted with something that goes everywhere and pudding was nuked to much and burnt my mouth. Atmosphere was cold and felt like there was no love. Tables were dirty and never wiped from all the drink stains I can see. Did not appreciate the forced 10% tip and you must be the only restaurant to do this. Didnt leave feeling anything but know I won't be back sadly.
