Customer experiences
Great Service! This was my first time at Downtown Auto Repair. The previous auto shop I had been doing business with for several years, unexpectedly went out of business and I needed to find a new place fast as my car needed immediate attention. I went in without an appointment and they were more than happy to help me. Since I had to go into work that day, they ordered a Lyft to drive me to work and then to pick me up after work. The person behind the counter Wes, was very friendly and cheerful. They fixed the issue that I went in there for but told me my car needed more work done. I knew that I had neglected some issues with my car, so I will be bringing it back for more work next week since they had to order a part and couldn't do it the same day. Wes was very helpful in explaining what my car needed done. I am happy to have found a new mechanic so fast.
Great communication with some friendly and knowledgeable professionals. We're happy to have our car back in brand new shape. We are happy to recommend Downtown Automotive to everyone.
The staff at the auto repair shop were extremely nice and friendly. They thoroughly examined my entire car and even provided a complimentary Lyft ride to and from the shop, which I really appreciated. However, my only concern is with their pricing structure. I feel it could be more flexible. It would be helpful if they offered a quick diagnostic option at a minimal charge, rather than requiring a full inspection at a higher cost just to identify the issue.
Charged $1000 to do a brake job they did not have the equipment to properly complete. They could not fix it due to their own inability to bleed the brakes (a standard procedure). Took several extra days beyond what they had stated because they couldn't finish the job, but we were still charged despite not completing the work. I would NEVER consider working with them again. If they did not have the tool they needed, they should not have taken the job, and they should not have expected so much money to fail.
Mad Auto Repair is a auto repair shop.
