I used the same pet sitter twice from Madpaws. The sitter on the second sitting damaged furniture, stained my carpet with what looks like vomit, broke fridge shelves, and other personal items, burnt a hole my air fryer and last but not least appears to have left me with bed bugs. I’ve spent hundreds of dollars replacing items and god knows how much it’s going to cost me to fully eradicate the bed bug situation (note contents insurance doesn’t cover pests) 😭😭 My dog’s anxiety has gone through the roof and he is now on double the dose of medication. My neighbours stated “the guy sounded very drunk” on occasion and they heard banging and crashing coming from my apartment. Obviously this isn’t the norm, but it’s worth thinking about if you’re letting someone into your home.

Do not use!!! I can’t stress enough how much you need to avoid if you love your pets. We had someone come to our house to house and pet sit. She lied, she stole, she went through our bedroom drawers, she locked our puppy in his crate for over 13 hours resulting in toileting in his crate which she then didn’t clean! Ripped holes in towels, the list goes one. Locked my cat outside with no access to food or water. Didn’t feed the animals for days. Left the animas with no water in 40° days. Had a male “friend” in my house without asking. Nightmare!! They helped themselves to our alcohol. Ate our food in freezer and cupboard. Basically used my house as a party house. I provided photo and video evidence, Madpaws gave a slight refund. My animals were distressed, extremely skinny, scared and took a week to return to normal personality. Never ever ever again! Horrible service. To think the person proudly promotes working at a local daycare centre is also extremely concerning. I was unable to review the sitter as madpaws doesn’t allow you to review if you get a refund. Not a very honest review system which now seems pretty on brand.

Sue-Ellen has a great, safe home and secure environment for our pets. The big girls (Labradors) went for a stimulating walk and our little Cavoodle was able to snooze happily. Flexible, kind care with Sue being intuitive and attentive to each dogs needs.
