From start to finish our two night stay was fabulous! On arrival our dinner basket was in the fridge ready with all the ingredients to cook a wonderful and very tasty dinner. While relaxing in an exceptionally appointed two bedroom ville. Cynthia’s cooking class was amazing. The 7 of us ladies throughly enjoyed her professionally guided step by step instruction while producing a fabulous Three course meal. Bon appétit❤️

Our stay at Maison Maitland was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the charming village of Maitland, this historic property has been beautifully restored and offers the perfect mix of elegance, comfort, and warmth. The villas are stunning—spacious, luxurious, and filled with thoughtful touches that make you feel right at home. One of the highlights was the hands-on cooking class in their incredible chef’s kitchen. Using fresh, seasonal, and local ingredients, we learned new techniques, enjoyed plenty of laughs, and shared an unforgettable meal together. It was such a unique experience that set this getaway apart from anywhere else we’ve stayed. The property itself is gorgeous, with its stone architecture, beautiful gardens, and a sense of history woven into every detail. It’s also in a fantastic location, close to Brockville, Prescott, and other charming towns and attractions. What really makes Maison Maitland special is the passion and hospitality behind it—you can feel how much care has gone into creating an experience that is both inspiring and welcoming. It’s no surprise they’ve been awarded TripAdvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Award, placing them in the top 10% of experiences worldwide. We chose the elopement package at Maison Maitland for our August wedding, and it was absolutely perfect. From the start, Cynthia (the owner) went above and beyond to make our day special. We stayed in the Chablis villa, which was part of the package, and it was beautiful, comfortable, and felt private and romantic. Cynthia was incredibly accommodating - she provided an extra table and chairs for our small and intimate wedding dinner inside the villa. On our wedding day, she surprised us with a bottle of sparkling wine and prepared the most beautiful charcuterie board for us and our guests. What really stood out was how she gave us exclusive access to the entire front of the estate and the pavilion area, making the celebration feel special and truly ours. Cynthia’s warmth and attention to detail made our experience unforgettable. If you’re looking for a stunning venue for your micro wedding, with a personal touch, Maison Maitland is the perfect choice!

I am rarely moved to find time to write about an experience, but Maison Maitland is a stand-out. Every detail in our Chardonnay Suite seemed to have anticipated our needs. Rather like when you've lived in a place for months and have the right thing in a drawer close by. Everything we wanted was at our fingertips. Lovely local, exceptional wines... utensils, reading, but most of all, the hosts. Cynthia was the best sherpa to guide us through our cycling trip to the culinary highlights of this destination of surprise discoveries. A must visit!
