Love this store. Keep in mind that they have two of them: one in Baldwin Hills and the other by the Fox Hills Mall. I've been a customer here for quite some time now and they're nice people. I love the fact that they sell culturally-diverse books from all genres (music, bio, cuisine, history, business, kids books,etc). I love to read books regardless of who it is, but Malik Books gives me something to identify with and that is being able to see more support of books from people that looks like me. Also, they have some festivities going on this month so I suggest checking it out. Always a treat buying from them ✊🏿

Now don't get me wrong I love this book store, been shopping with them for over 7 years started shopping with them at the Crenshaw mall but today I drove a whole hour to take my daughter to their Christmas event because the flyer said free event with surprises only to get there and see the surprises cost money I had money but just think about the families who can't afford gifts and thought their child would have something smh please do better next event

I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of titles that are available in this shop. I expected it to be limited to Black authors, but it is a go to for anyone interested in topics from writing a book to starting a business. Even though the focus is Black culture, there is so much more to purchase, including journals, agendas, and water bottles. This is a wonderful shop. I look forward to many more visits.
