My wife and I took a taxi straight from the cruise ship to the shopping center. The extremely large center, which is over 20 years old, is beautifully decorated. It is known for the ski slope located in the center. I can say that most of the really big names in world fashion are located here. So we had a lot of shopping opportunities and we were happy to take advantage of them. There is a taxi stand in the center. One of them took us to new adventures.

It includes department, fashion, lifestyle, sports, electronics, and home furnishing stores, as well as the largest Carrefour in the city. This mall is the perfect destination for families. It offers fun attractions and activities at Magic Planet, VOX Cinemas and Ski Dubai. On top of that, with more than 100 dining and café selections, the mall has something delicious for everyone. Mall of the Emirates provides unmatched luxury, with more than 80 of the world’s most renowned designer brands showcased under its ceiling. For added comfort and convenience, the mall is also home to two adjoining hotels, the 5-star Kempinski Mall of the Emirates, and the 5-star Sheraton Dubai Mall of the Emirates Hotel.

Mall of the Emirates is a place I usually enjoy, mainly because of the ski area. Every time I walk past Ski Dubai, it still feels a bit unreal to see indoor skiing in the middle of a mall. I’ve spent time watching people ski and snowboard, and the terrain park adds a nice touch for those looking for something more active. Even the penguins are fun to see, without the area feeling overcrowded. The mall itself is easy to reach by metro and simple to move around despite its size. It’s been around since 2005, so some areas feel familiar rather than new, but everything is clean and works well. Between the ski resort, ice skating, and catching a movie at IMAX, it’s a comfortable place to spend a few hours. Not perfect, but definitely more interesting than a typical mall.
