Trying to build a garage outside of the town of Antigonish. Kent only delivers on Tuesday and Thursday. I ordered on Thursday for what we hoped a morning delivery on Tuesday . It’s a beautiful day and an idle work crew . I called to inquire around 11:00 but it wasn’t even loaded yet. So disappointed with the service.

I am writing this review because of the exceptional customer service I received from Bill in appliances. He is an extremely knowledgeable and kindhearted individual and employee - a true gem! Bill was more than happy and willing to assist me in choosing a new stove for my grandmother during my stay in Antigonish. I cannot thank him enough! 5 starts because everyone is always so helpful when I need help looking for the right thing! The place is like a maze if you’re not familiar but you can ask anyone what you’re looking for and they’ll always be happy to point you in the right direction.

As a small business owner I don't like to leave poor feedback. However I can't, in good conscience, continue to ingnore the poor quality of products and services. Let me start by mentioning that between my personal and professional account at Kent, I've spent tens of thousands of dollars over the past 2-3 years at this establishment. Let's start with products. Overall, they have a good selection of products in the warehouse. If you need something, odds are they'll have it. Once you get into the yard, that's when the quality diminishes significantly. Products are often mishandled by forklifts, left uncovered for too long, or just neglected all together. I often found myself sorting through a whole lift of product just to find enough materials for a small project. Let's talk service now (Deliveries and returns) I normally order 15-20% more for larger projects with the assumption that there's going to be poorly picked materials. Lately I've been having to order closer to 50% more just so that I can finish the job on time (and not have to do another trip to town to pick up more). All Fine! I'm actually not overly worked up about that. What I have an issue with is trying to return these products. They essentially make you feel like a criminal for returning their sub par products. As a small contractor, I take care of my tools and I take care of my materials. Kent has to look into how they handle returns. Blaming customers for damaged goods or having every single return go through a manager is not cutting it. Save yourselves some grief and shop elsewhere or take pictures to protect yourself.
