** NO INTEGRITY** I hired Troy Norred with the Mazaheri Law Firm on July 3, 2025, because of some issues at work in which I was arrested performing company duties on company time. And for which the company states, I violated no company policies. I agreed to terms, signed a Mazaheri Law Firm contract, and paid the retainer in cash. Troy was supposed to contact my employer on July 7, 2025. He failed to do so. He claimed to have reached out afterwards and informed the employer of my position of wanting them to cover ONLY the legal fees from the incident that was entirely their fault. At no time was I seeking punitive damages. Even though I spent 28 hours in jail. Troy informed me that after his communication, the employer was offering a sum of money and he encouraged me to accept it. I did not, because that matter hasn't been decided and there may be fines higher than the offered amount. On July 28, 2025 Troy Norred sent me an email stating he was leaving the Mazaheri Law Firm and changing the type of law he practices entirely, and would not be continuing as my lawyer. I learned through a telephone conversation with him, he is joining the Blau Law Firm. Additionally, Troy claimed because of workload constraints, the Mazaheri Law Firm would also not be honoring their contract or continuing as my attorneys. Troy Norred states, "...we have agreed to a full refund of your retainer along with the closing of your case and the return to you of all documents and correspondence. You have the opportunity to seek alternative counsel..." Gee, thanks for your professionalism. I have all the emails he cc'd to Katherine Mazaheri, Camisha Green, and Sasha Dinkins. In the meantime, I would not trust the Mazaheri Law Firm, nor Troy Norred for anything. Apparently, once the ink dries, they DO NOT honor their contracts anyway. **UPDATE 8/18/2025** The response posted by the "owner" is an outright fabrication. There were never any options for obtaining my file information and refund offered other than, "We can make those available to you this afternoon if you would like to come to our office." And then when it was finally mailed to me, over two weeks later, it had $9.31 postage due. READ BETWEEN THE LINES. The "owner" admits in their response they were not able to continue representation due to staffing changes. This is "code" for we had a not very good attorney leave our firm and because he created and signed a contract that appeared to not allow for more billable hours, we decided we didn't want to honor that contract. Again, READ BETWEEN THE LINES. The "owner" admits to returning all of my retainer in their response and claims their associate performed work for free. When have you ever met a lawyer who returns ALL of your initial retainer after performing any amount of work? This is only because they know, my retainer was part of the contract and since my retainer was returned, the contract doesn't have to be honored. Despicable! **BUYER BEWARE**

Tough Talk

All style, no substance. I had a very disappointing experience with Katharine. Despite the fancy office and professional appearance, the service was severely lacking. During the entire first meeting—which she charged $100 for—she didn’t say or ask a single meaningful thing. She just nodded her head the whole time, offering no guidance, no insight, and no engagement. It honestly felt like she charges per word, not per hour. At the end, she said she’d personally give me a call to share her thoughts, but instead, her office emailed asking me to book another appointment for $300 if I wanted to hear her recommendations. No follow-up, no explanation—just another charge. It felt like a money grab rather than a sincere attempt to help. I’ve since met with other lawyers who were far more knowledgeable, direct, and transparent from the start. I don’t mind if someone isn’t interested in taking my case, but at the very least, be honest and respectful of my time and money.
