Customer experiences
Awesome Irish pub right on the Five Points. (Not just one patio, but two!). They have chefs, not cooks... Fantastic portion sizes and presentation. They have the Guinness company beers, and a variety of others. The staff are all fantastic, and the owner is a hard-working angel. Live music on weekends never disappoints, and there's room for the band and dancing. There are a lot of places downtown, but this is my favourite go-to place for sure!
Hands down the best burger I've ever had in Barrie. Literally. Cooked and presented perfectly. Didn't fall apart while eating, taste was an honest 11/10. Do yourself a favour and pop by for one, you won't regret it.
This place has really changed for the better since Mc Finns has taken over the establishment. The food is fantastic, and the Guinness poured is just the way it should be poured. Huge venue, and always has sports playing. What a lovely place to have a bite to eat and some drinks. Would recommend!
I came here yesterday with my girlfriend expecting a fun night watching a live UFC event, but the experience became unpleasant very quickly. We ordered a couple of drinks during the advertised $10 cocktails until 10 pm. What was already confusing is that our waitress did not seem aware of this promotion at all. In most bars and restaurants, staff usually inform guests about active drink specials, which did not happen here. It honestly felt like they were hoping customers wouldn’t notice the promotion and would be charged full price. We were seated near a door that many people kept walking in and out of. These people were sitting at tables nearby, drinking and behaving like normal guests, not staff. The employees were also going in and out of the same door, were not wearing clear work uniforms, and there were no signs saying “staff only.” Naturally, I assumed it was a bathroom and used it. A couple of minutes later, a man named Sean, who said he was the owner, approached me with an angry attitude and demanded to know what I was doing there. After I explained that I used the bathroom, another large, clearly intoxicated employee came over and questioned me again, this time in a very hostile and intimidating way. Instead of calmly explaining that the door was not for customers, he stood over our table, acted aggressively, made threatening comments, and kept giving angry looks for the rest of the evening. It made both me and my girlfriend feel extremely uncomfortable and unwelcome. To make things worse, when we asked for the bill, the $10 cocktail discount was not applied. When we pointed this out, the waitress argued that it was “almost midnight,” even though the drinks were clearly ordered well before 10 pm. Overall, the lack of professionalism, poor communication, and intimidating behavior completely ruined what was supposed to be a fun evening. I would not recommend this place.
