His knowledge of matching a shoe to the specific needs of your foot (based on width, length and his knowledge of foot anatomy). Based on his great service I then went onto purchase 2 hiking pants. While each of the 4 items were avg 150-200+ and I only came in with the intent to get 1 pants. It shows how far remarkable customer service and a knowledgeable advisor can make a difference. Ordered good set of puncture resistant Continental bike tires. Order ready next day. Very helpful chap in bike section helped me get the right tubes and tire removal tool. Very courteous and helpful staff. Worth the drive up from St Thomas and better service than the bike shops in St Thomas. August 24, 2025 Graduated to an ebike, for ease on knees. Kenda tires after 500 km just not up to par. Continental agains. 26 x 1.75 to replace 26 x 2 that were on the ebike. Again great service from the MEC bike staff. As ebike is used on asphalt and concrete trails, Continentals give a great smooth and stable ride. Don't feel any difference going over bumps. ebike is a 26 inch shok nova.
