I am on overseas Pakistani and sent a formal complaint to Meezan bank as per their process. They didn’t not even tried to understand complaint and sent a generic reply. I have been scammed on whatsup and account holder is a Meezan bank holder. “ I requested your immediate assistance in freezing the account, tracing the funds, and facilitating recovery in accordance with relevant Pakistan banking regulations and anti-fraud laws, including the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act, 2016 (PECA), State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) guidelines on digital fraud protection, and consumer protection provisions under the Banking Companies Ordinance, 1962. This report was submitted to ensure compliance with legal requirements for reporting suspected financial crimes and to seek your cooperation in mitigating further harm. I was not accusing Meezan Bank of any wrongdoing but am providing this information for your internal review and action as the custodian of the recipient account.” Meezan bank was not even bothered reading my complaint fully and replied stating block card if card was used for payment. What a joke customer service, I am an overseas Pakistani I don’t have Meezan bank account, I reported my money went into Meezan bank’s account holder via whatsup scam. I provided all proof as a financial institution you have some responsibility to take action on scammers even if they hold bank account in your bank. I believe that is a fair ask? For overseas Pakistanis public service msg based on my personal experience with this bank - be aware if you get scammed via Meezan bank holder they will not take any actions as they did in my case.

Absolutely the worst bank I’ve ever dealt with! It’s been nearly 6 months since I applied for a debit card and still nothing. I’ve called countless times — every time they make up fake excuses and then drop the call. Their tracking number doesn’t even work, and the card never reaches the branch. The service is pathetic, the system is outdated, and customer support is completely useless.

I applied for home finance in May 2025 and went through every verification step — including checks on my family, residence, employer, and even educational documents. Despite months of waiting, the bank has failed to give any decision on my case. I even wrote an email to their management, but there has been no reply. This shows how careless, slow, and unprofessional their staff are. If a customer is treated this way after months of effort, I cannot recommend anyone to use Meezan Bank services. Extremely disappointing experience.
