Customer experiences
As a 15-year customer, I had an incredibly positive experience at Memory Express on September 13th. The staff was fantastic and willing to put up with all of my questions, which I truly appreciate. A special thanks to Alex and the other employee whose name I've forgotten—they were both patient and knowledgeable. After building the PC on Sunday, I can confidently say it's better than anything I've ever had before. The system is a beast, and the process of putting it together was smooth thanks to the advice I received. I highly recommend Memory Express.
I have dealt with a lot of PC stores and Memory Express, particularly the south location is the best place I have ever been to. The staff is fantastic and you can really tell they are passionate about computer's in general. During my recent experience I dealt with Corey, August, and Jason. All of them were fantastic, especially Jason who gave me a no BS experience with straight forward information while also never making me feel dumb for asking questions. Overall the store has a lot to praise: - A lot of products in stock - Great recommendations from the staff without feeling like they are just trying to sell you more. - The staff seems to work to get you the best price on whatever you may need for your build. - Prompt service with realistic wait times. - Real attention to detail whether you are trying to find compatible parts or having them put your PC together. - Great communication when trying to plan out your future builds, they provided me a detailed quote for my upgrades within 10 minutes. Overall the best place I have ever been to, really appreciate the staff and look forward to going to them for any future needs.
I had bought a whole system from them and I came back a week later because I changed my mind on one of the components. I was nervous about exchanging it since I had been using it for a few days but Neil made my experience super smooth and actually kind of enjoyable! I'm super happy with the service I got and will definitely be back
I started going here because I was getting crappy service from, if you want to call them CSR's, the west end location. Normally I do not have issues with anyone there. But something just rubbed me the wrong way yesterday when I went in to the store to get a service call to replace a power supply. At first I went to the sales desk thinking I needed a new power supply and the CSR behind the counter helped me out. Good customer service. very friendly even got the power supply and took it to the Service counter. GREAT!!!! Got to the Service Counter and had no line ups. In fact I think I created a line while I was there. Sorry to the people behind me. In fact the service dept helped me save an express service of $250. Thanks to the gentleman that helped with this. Because I didnt need the service dept I decided to grab a new HDD for backing up my computer for Win11. Grabbed a new HDD and a new enclosure. I told the CSR in the sales Dept that I would prefer not to have the Nexstar brand because in my past experiences on multpe occasions they have been known to crash my HDD. They have even replaced my broken ones for new ones under a warranty that I purchased. Before the CSR grabbed the enclosure he told me that it was he only brand they carry. Now do not get me wrong I am not faulting the CSR for the issue. I do however blame the store purchaser for not having a wider selection of HDD enclosures or lack there of. I am however blaming him for the response I got from him when he said " They are only $30." Yes, they may only be $30 but I have bought at least 4 of them and they have all had to be tossed because of faulty product issues. Mostly the fact that they have ruined the HDDs and thank god I had warranty on them. It is more of a hassle to drive to their location just to claim a warranty. I am in the same city and it takes me a good 35-45 mins just to get there one way in non rush hour traffic. In closing about my last visit, Thank you to the repair person that helped me save the computer from an expensive bill. Thank you to the CSR that helped me buy the new HDD and enclosure. But no thanks to the business that will not stock a couple of different options of products that actually work. I will update this as the time goes on. I have just replaced a new HDD 4TB blue drive from the ones I got on warranty a few years ago. I have never used it until today and most likely off warranty. Hope the Nexstar enclosure doesn't break this one as well or it will; be more than the enclosure going to the trash.
