Meredith is great! Love the animals! Staff is friendly. However, I don't feel I should have to leave the office without some kind of receipt for payment of the services I received. In fact, I phoned 14 days after picking up the bank draft for the property I sold. The papers were still not completed but was able to pick them up in the late afternoon. Regardless, I would still use your law firm again if needed.

When I first had my consultation with Meredith we had discussed the options on how to proceed with my custody issues. Meredith had explained that I had several options that she could proceed with and made me feel hopeful. We also agreed I would pay a retainer fee and once the retainer had been used I would be contacted to discuss moving further as I made it clear I could not afford to just continue to incur charges without making arrangements before. Meredith sent 4 letters to the other parties lawyer as they did not respond to the first 3, and she made a couple phone calls. Nothing was accomplished, I was then told my kids would be 18 before this was ever settled and I didn’t have much options. Then I was sent a bill for an additional $1800.00 above the $800 retainer I had already paid. When I contacted her office in regards to this as we had made an agreement to not incur more charges then the retainer already paid as I made it aware I could not just give them cartblanche to bill me freely, there only response was “ well you signed a retainer agreement”, and they denied the agreement I had made with Meredith. They did not make me aware of any additional charges at anytime until I received the bill. They would not discuss the matter what so ever. And just said “well did the work, you have to pay”. So I was charged $2600.00 for nothing!!

Meredith has been my lawyer for multiple reasons over the last 10 years. She has helped navigate all the ins and outs of my separation, divorce and recently my father’s estate. Her whole office is excellent from the phone calls to coming into her office. She knew when to push some issues and when to let things other things go.
