The store offers a wide variety of fresh fish — from classic cod and salmon to more unique types. Everything looked fresh, clean, and very appetizing. We picked up some amazing fish for dinner — and it was absolutely delicious! The quality was outstanding, and the taste was incredible. We really appreciate that Metro consistently offers high-quality products, especially their fish, which is truly some of the best in the city. A big thank you to the staff as well — the store is clean, well-organized, and the service is friendly. Once again, we’re reminded that Metro in Ottawa is a fantastic place for both everyday and special shopping. Thank you for providing such great products and a pleasant shopping experience!
L.K. GardnerThis review is long overdue. I have shopped here for years. I worked in the Glebe in 2015 and again in 2022 through 2024. This is one of the nicest grocery stores in the city. The selection is excellent for the size of store and they have some specialty products I rarely see. Kira checked me out and expertly packed my bags, as I had the pleasure of shopping today! I was able to get the Guinness for my Irish stew too! Ran into Ian, such a terrific manager, and was assisted by Don who helped me take my groceries out down a very slushy sidewalk and waited until my Uber arrived. He helped load up and saw me safely on my way home. I really can't say enough about the service way more then 5. I would give them 100 stars. Thank you!
Mr LtnThe customer service provided by the cashiers' could be better. It is definitely not upto the habitual Metro standards. Rather help you get on with your day, it seems cashiers' create more problems at the register, some of these could be avoided by very simple questions. When providing a paid service, the onus of understanding the request falls on the cashier.
Bob BobThere are always such long lines at this Metro. This morning there was 6 people in line and only one slow moving cashier. I was supposed to get 30% one of my produce items but couldn't be bothered because it was taking soooo long and the cashier was clearly clueless. For the HIGH prices I expect better. Disappointed do better Metro.
