I honestly wouldn’t do this normally but felt in this instance it was justified and I’m simply over the callous nature of recruiters in the UK. I was contacted by Simon East regarding a potential role, and my candidacy was put forward. I was requested for an interview but was unable to fit the initial time-slot into my existing work schedule and commitments. However, had immediately raised alternative timeslots in response, you know, how adults usually arrange for mutually beneficial commitments. I guess that was my one and done because I have not heard back since despite my multiple follow-ups. It’s honestly a real shame to be so actively engaged in the business of finding talent for your clients, but then actively not working in their best interest. I’ll be honest. I gave the consultant the benefit of the doubt but it’s just substantially rude to do that to someone. I guess I put it down to data harvesting and ghosting just to fulfil their KPI requirements for outbound calls. Just wanting to give you a reminder that you are dealing with people, and while your industry is not regulated to the same extent that others are, It’s a real mark against your character of how you treat people. Honestly, just be better.

Extremely disappointing and Horrible service by Sally Ristine-Barratt. I applied for a job as manager in food industry. She initially contacted me to make an appointment for further communication but she never kept her word or tried to contact me on the booked appointment time(she made appointment). I waited on the appointment time and nothing from her. Very poor. Even when I tried to call her or email her but she never responded. What kind of service is this anyway. Atleast for courtesy sake, let me know if you can't make it for the appointment that you booked me on or atleast respond to my emails.

If there was an option to give minus stars I would give it to them. I was contacted by two seperate recruitment agents from them in different time periods, one just recently 1 day back. Their style of talking was so arrogant that it looke like that hey were doing me a favour by just calling me. They treated me like I was some garbage and the discussion was not professional, it looked like I was giving a military style phycological test on the phone. Absolutely no sense of decency. I have a good job, I am not deseprate for another one, but even if I were, then also I wouldn't allow anyone to talk to me like this. The names of two recruites are Imogen Simpson and Richard Allison. They both can shove it if they don't have the sense to talk properly. This guy Richard was talking to me in such a way like he had a fight with his wife/partner and he was letting it all out on me. Absolutely pathetic behaviour from both.

Don’t bother, if I could give zero stars I would. I was left on hold for 16 minutes. I called in the Morning asking about help with potential job opportunities in my field. They said they would get back to me but did no such thing. Horrible experience, will not be associating with them to find work again. Also when you apply online through their website, you don’t get any confirmation or update about the job you are applying for. It’s like they completely ghost you. I’m aware that the job market is dire but recruitment companies like Michael page ought to be ashamed of themselves.
