I did a combination of neurofeedback and coaching and achieved all my goals. They are experts in this field and I have been recommending their services to everyone I know. If you are are struggling with negative behaviors and emotions or want to know about how your brain is functioning this is the place to go.

We have been working with Shari Johansson and her team for the past year, first with my son, then my husband, and then for myself. We each struggled with different challenges, and all were helped tremendously by neurofeedback. My son's teacher, after a month of training, and without knowing he was in therapy commented that he was doing amazingly well and was like a different kid in the classroom with his ability to focus. Where talk therapy and medication failed in the past, neurofeedback was a game changer for us. Absolutely shocked that our insurance won't cover it, but it's the best money we ever spent. DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE WITH YOUR BRAIN OR YOUR CHILDREN. UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS REVIEW- This is an updated review to the one I left a few months ago.. after all of that, My parents received calls from Shari yesterday basically threatening us if we did not take reviews down... and that my review was untrue.Really? That's interesting. I have never met someone this arrogant- please, do not trust this woman with your money, children, trauma, or brain. She may have been great at what she does at one point but if she is capable of this level of arrogance and neglect, it is is UNREAL to me. She has showed zero compassion or care and her last two phone calls prove my other review better than I ever could have. Had she called and asked.. to maybe just talk? See how I was doing and see how she could improve after what happened with me? I probably would have taken the reviews down. Now? Oh, hunny... I will be going to to BBB and anywhere else I can. I will also be reporting this to yelp. Asking people to remove reviews and essentially threatening them with a bill if they don't, um nope! Thank you for showing your true colors Shari, I hope at least one other person is saved from the experience I had. Maybe next time, remember that reviews exist for this exact purpose and when someone is upset with you....I suggest finding out why and handling the situation like an adult. Thanks ORIGINAL REVIEW:If you're going to treat people with serious, extensive trauma, you need to be equipped to do so. I have been in the healing industry for over a decade, and the first rule of working with people is you do not give them information that could be extremely detrimental to them without the proper support. Shari gave me some of the most disturbing information of my life and basically turned my life upside down-- and still doesn't even understand she did that. I have been through a horrifically traumatic experience ever since first contacting Grey Matters. I should have listened to my intuition and not continued moving forward with Shari, but I am desperate for help. While the brain scan was insanely validating in terms of knowing there is truly something wrong with my brain- it snapped me in another way and this practice is IRRESPONSIBLE in the way they go about treating people. I even expressed to Shari how much I was struggling and I heard NOTHING back. I believe Shari is a good person but I believe from the bottom of my heart she has become deeply arrogant and has expanded beyond her capacity to truly care for people. The communication was HORRENDOUS. The receptionist answered the phone ONE time the whole time I was dealing with them. It takes days to receive a call back. I felt pressured to do the $750 brain scan and should have stopped talking to them then. I asked for support time and time again and did not receive it. She took absolutely NO background on me before the brain scan and I felt terrified to let someone work on my brain that basically knew nothing about me. The process of how the office works, (which is throwing you from person to person each treatment) was never even explained to me before making me first appointment. All Shari says is "Let's just get treatment started"... Um, I'm sorry, no. The final straw was when they treated me in the most DISGUSTING/ unprofessional way the day of my first actual treatment. It was deeply disturbing, and then Shari had the audacity to send me an extremely belittling and rude text after that appointment. Bye. Who do you think you are, exactly? Oh, and did I mention that Shari just wrote down my credit card info on a scratch sheet of paper and then never charged me the $750 for 11-14 days, kept asking for my address- WHILE I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL FOR PANIC AFTER THE BRAIN SCAN- and mentioned nothing about the fact they hadn't charged my card. Then, the day I get mad and cut things off they mysteriously start to try and charge my card again. This is RIDICULOUS, unacceptable, and frankly scary.

Shari and her team at Grey Matters Neurofeedback are excellent at treating Trauma recovery through Neurofeedback. Shari was an important part of my recovery and I will be forever grateful to her and her team.
