I wanted to take a moment to share my experience shopping at Monkee's over the years. I've found the service to be helpful yet not overwhelming, which I truly appreciate. The wide selection of clothing types, especially with all the unique prints, aligns perfectly with my personal style. As someone who tends to be a bit neurotic, I love that the Monkee's team is always willing to go the extra mile, even going so far as to use my phone to take pictures for me in the clothing I try on, which I think is a little quirky but absolutely helpful! Additionally, I must recommend the fantastic sales. I also really value that Monkees doesn’t order an excess of styles in various sizes; it gives each piece a uniqueness that means I won’t run into anyone else at my cousin's wedding wearing the same dress! Thank you for continuing to create such a positive shopping experience!

Hands down, Monkees is one of my favorite boutiques to shop at in Lexington. The variety of outfits, especially dresses, available with fun prints and colors is something I like most about Monkees! The staff is inviting and friendly! They are eager to help you and offer suggestions! I have been shopping here for years, and it is my go-to for finding an outfit for formal events, a night out with my friends, or a fun piece for my work wardrobe. Monkees is a hidden gem in the Chevy Chase in Lexington.

Beautiful clothes. However, when you walk in no one greets you. They follow you around the store esp if you aren't dressed to the nines like you will steal. The owner is extremely snotty. What she and employees fail to recognize is work out clothes/no makeup doesn't mean you can afford her store. Absolutely 0 emotional intelligence. I make well over 6 figures so I can buy anything in the store I want but its assumed I don't fit her boutique customer mold. They could use a lesson in appearance doesn't determine wealth. I have ordered from out of state Monkees due to the rude owner and staff in this store. I certainly hope she doesn't set in church on Sunday mornings bc she has a lot to learn in customer service and humanity.

Let me tell ya, I love everything about this store. The owner is absolutely wonderful. I told her about my crazy work hours and she offered to come in at anytime if I needed an outfit for an occasion when I can't come in during regular hours. I had a outfit emergency right before the derby and every single employee helped me to find the right dress. All the girls are so sweet and not to mention the beautiful selection of clothes! It doesn't matter if I'm buying a new wardrobe or just one dress, they always make sure I'm helped and happy. There are a lot of boutiques in Lexington and a lot of them make me feel self conscious or make me feel like they don't want to help me. Usually because I'm in yoga pants and an old t shirt with old tennis shoes lol but Monkees has NEVER made me feel un welcomed. I recommend them to all my friends and family and I make sure to tell everyone my outfits come from them. Thanks ladies for always making me feel welcomed and beautiful 😘
